Rabies shots are expensive but they aren’t painful at all now. Less painful than a mosquito bite.

If a child were distracted there’s a good chance that he wouldn’t know he’d had a shot.

They made me feel nauseous for a few days but vanilla shakes took care of that. :-)

I had to get the rabies shots series about a year ago.

I was training in the Peace Corps to go to Afghanistan, nearly 50 years ago. As a precaution against getting bitten by a rabid critter we got two or three rabies shots in the arm. We were told that they were 80% effective against contracting rabies if we couldn’t get to India to get real medical treatment. The shots hurt going in, I remember my arm muscles spasming even while the needle was still in. Glad to hear they aren’t so bad anymore.
