Full Title: Producer: My Christian Film Got Rated R. It Has No Nudity, Sex, Bad Language, Gore, Drugs.
The Motion Picture Association of America adds its name to a list of increasingly brazen leftist media powerhouses who discriminate against conservative voices in the public square.
Facebook: Graphic images of a woman smashing and eating a baby do not violate community standards but quoting a Bible verse on homosexuality does.
Twitter: Conservative voices and alternative news sources frequently find themselves muzzled while profane rants against them are celebrated.
Google: Discriminatory algorithms ensure that articles praising the Second Amendment, President Trump, traditional marriage, and lashing out against illegal immigration are suppressed while the fake news media gets free rein.
Its called censorship.
And now the MPAA. Kids killing each other in The Hunger Games with swords and spears and killer bees? PG-13. A zombie witch in the Suicide Squad wearing a lacy bikini gets her heart ripped out in the finale? PG-13. But the faith-based action moving The Reliant which has no foul language, no nudity, no torture, no glamorized violence or gore or zombies or orc beheadings or anything near R rated violence?
Rated R!
What prompted the R rating? The MPAAs explanation is vague and inconsistent, but most likely, a scene wherein a 12-year-old skillfully uses a handgun to defend his sister from the villain.
“Gods Wrath Against Sinful Humanity (Acts 1:18-32”
That’s Romans, rather than Acts. But quite relevant.
I used to argue with people on this forum by taking the position that violating intellectual property rights is theft and a sin, Biblically.
However, my position has “evolved” due to the abuse by those in positions of power, wealth, and influence.
I do not believe any music, film, or other “art” that blasphemes God or Christ should be protected under copyright or other ip law. Nothing erotic or pornographic should have any such protection.
The last secular movie I saw in the theater was “A Quiet Place” because it was pro-family, not disrespectful to God, and contained nothing sexualized. This is rare for a Hollywood movie.
The liberal courts ruled against the clearly-legal, budget video streaming service VidAngel that provided customers access to edited versions of Hollywood movies once they were released on DVD and Bluray. VidAngel followed the law, but Hollywood was determined to stop them and dragged them through the courts and got them shut down. Since then, I pay ZERO for anything Hollywood produces unless it is clean.
Pretty much all Hollywood movies and TV shows can be streamed for “free” online.
Democrats are evil scum.
Conservatives and Christians need to start their own rating agency
Oh my. . .I am in the process of doing Chronological Bible Reading Questions for a Sunday School Class and was in and out of Acts and Romans. . .Thanks so much for the correction!!!!
