What made the ending poor? He was in a no win situation and just decided to take his chances (instead of heading to Europe and disappearing as von Sydow’s character suggested).

A friend of mine read the book, and saw the movie. He said they were nothing alike, except the name.

How I loved those stupid movies...now, you are some kind of terrible person if you find it funny...

I always enjoyed the repartee between him and Kato...

Sneak attack!

While Clouseau is in bed with some woman, Kato comes through the canopy in a surprise attack! (for years, even the thought of this scene would make me laugh)

A practice found in every totalitarian state.
Changing history.
Substituting lies for truth.
Changing names of towns, regions, buildings, streets.
Editing out those not in favor in old photos and art.

As in:

When you fell out of favor under Stalin's rule, you REALLY disappeared:

With our Media, heroes can't been shown supporting President Trump.

I recently saw a version of ‘In Harm’s Way’ where they edited out the word ‘Jap’.

‘Condor’ has ‘deep state’ overtones, news media repression, double agents, and depicts The US Government conducting ‘business-as-usual’.
Faye Dunaway’s character seemed a stretch to believe, but Max Von Sydow is terrific in this movie.

John Houseman has a great Alec Berg name. “John Houseman. John Houuusssemannnn.”

It will be a cool, crisp Autumn day.

You may be talking with a mailman you know.

Perhaps a mailman you even trust.

CONDOR still holds up well as a film, IMO. That is a truly stupid edit for someone to try and pull off.

FWIW Somewhere along the line they lost 3 days. Three Days of the Condor was based on the book Six Days of the Condor.

I rewatched it. They dont actually edit out “homo” but they lower the audio signal so the “homo” is much quieter than “sexual.”

I remember watching it on TV in the 90s. They edited out the derogatory words for African Americans but left in the ones for Asian Americans. There was a newspaper article the following week about all the complaints the station got.
