Hey this movie shows how Democrats formed the KKK and tried to keep freed slaves from voting Democrats, which as all of us know is quite correct.
I had a couple of far leftists admit they knew nothing about this post Civil War slice of history.
Yup, that’s how the current generation learn about history. (Truth or embellished with PC fiction - yeah, whatever...)

Let me guess, they believed Republicans started the KKK. I'm getting so tired of ignorance that runs rampant in this country. Which means they probably do not even know that the Republican Party was created to combat slavery in the United States. That they were successful before the first term of a Republican President even completed, thanks to the end of the Civil War 5 days before Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by a southern Confederate Democrat supporter John Wilkes Booth.
Many of them will admit that the Democrats formed the KKK but will just say ignorantly (or just lie blatantly) that Republicans and Democrats “switched sides” after that through Nixon’s “southern strategy” or through the “Dixiecrats.” Real mumbo jumbo nonsense.
This kind of thinking is not limited to the Democrats. It's like the Muslims, who "know" that Jesus, Moses and Elijah were really Muslim prophets who hadn't figured it out yet.
There is a term for this kind of theory, but I don't think the relevant word can be used on a family friendly site.
All the leftists I know claim that those democrats were actually republicans, and they had a name change where they are now republicans and the good guys are now democrats.
I usually laugh in their faces.

The Democrats try to counter their real history by saying that the Republicans and Democrats “swapped” ideologies back in the 1960s. Like they flipped a coin or something. I think that’s why they don’t teach real history in school anymore.
Freepers who have not seen, "The Men Who Built America", then I strongly recommend it. It is a must see. They are 4 parts to it. They tell the story and have actors. President Trump is in it briefly too.
Yeah, it was I think a studio release that Netflix is now showing. Either way, it is pretty surprising they let it be aired.
Anybody with even a rudimentary knowledge of America history knows the Dummycrats have always been the party of hatred and racism.
If it was not for the dreadful, biased teaching in public schools the Dummycrats wouldn’t even get 2% in any future electoral contest
I had one ignorant (not stupid but ignorant) black man tell me the democrats were the only ones who ever did anything on racial equality.
My jaw hit the floor. He was older than me by a decade but was thoroughly indoctrinated. He lived through it much more than I did but he was thoroughly brainwashed.
I tried explaining that the white kids driving through the south registering blacks to vote were the kids of upper middle class white republicans. He insisted they were from northern white democrat families.
I tried explaining that it was the republicans pushing the voting rights laws and any law making blacks and whites equals. That Johnson only signed the bills because he wanted to cater to the potential black voters as a block.
He vehemently denied it. Nothing I could say would change his mind. It got so heated that we had to back off and stay away from each other for a few days.
I guess ignorance IS bliss.
Goldwater was the Republican nominee for President. Goldwater was against civil rights. The adult white southern Democrats continued to vote Democrat. Their children looked At Goldwater and said let’s hate Johnson cause he is for civil rights and let’s cheer for Goldwater cause he is against civil rights. Goldwater flipped the voter registration of the South. Goldwater was an idiot. In a landslide Johnson got elected and got civil rights into law. Long live civil rights. Then Johnson got the Great Society Welfare State signed into law. Had Goldwater been for civil rights there may have been a Republican President and the Welfare State May not have been created. Goldwater and the Republicans flipped the South.
