If by “impeachment proceedings” you mean to include all the committee investigations related to possible impeachment (i.e. actions prior to drafting articles of impeachment)... then yes, it will be a very long, slower walk.

They have already begun impeachment proceedings and I have no doubt they will continue to throw EVERYTHING against the wall but the problem with that is it’s too slow. They must prevent Trump from nominating RBGs replacement. Once he makes the nomination its almost impossible to stop it even is he is impeached later on. The progressives must act now to prevent the nomination and they only way thy can do that is to make sure that DJT and/or Pence aren’t in a position to make that nomination. It’s much easier that way much has the added benefit of Pelosi as president to make that nomination and use her “mandate” to correct all of DJT’s policies by EO.
