I haven’t heard that name in years.
“Candy Kisses” is the Copas song I remember most.
The song that really stayed with me from the
same year, 1949, was “Room Full of Roses.”

I’m so glad you enjoyed it. During the 48-49 period, there were 4 who recorded Candy Kisses. The one with the biggest hit on the charts was George Morgan, but it was also a hit for Red Foley, Copas and Eddie Kirk. George Morgan also had the hit with Room Full of Roses in 49, taking it to #4. The tune was written by Tim Spencer with the Sons of the Pioneers, and they recorded it later in the year and took it to #10 on the charts.
