This is GREAT news.
I should consider this treatment after 35 years of dealing with 2 out of control messed in the head family members.
Specifically my sister and now unfortunately her 21 yr old daughter.

thanks so much for posting this. I know people whom this could benefit and I never would have found this source myself.
I twisted my ankle this morning, and I was in quite a bit of pain so I went to the doctor, and I asked him to give me some pain pills.
And he didnt want to do it, but I talked him into it. So he gave me some pills and I shouldnt have done this, but I took some about an hour before the show tonight, and right now I am high as a KITE! [ audience cheers ]
I mean, it is unbelievable! And I would NEVER say this to you people, but, in this case: if you EVER get a chance, to take these drugs DO IT! Theyre called [ he glances from side-to-side cautiously ] Placebos! I mean, Im thinking that right now I have NO idea where I am at all! It is WILD! Placebo!
The new electric therapy, even if it is called ECT which used to be “shock treatment” that fried the brain synapses, is now totally different. The new ECT is more like TMS or transcranial magnetic stimulation. It changes the frequencies of the action potential firing rate in specific areas of the brain.
It still doesn’t work because it is a temporary treatment that needs to be repeated. Of the 11 evidence based approved treatment modalities for PTSD, the only one that is permanent is psychotherapy, but it is also the most expensive.
Interesting.
truly amazing ... thanks for posting this ...

“placed an electroencephalography cap on his skull to measure his brains baseline electrical activity”
That’s like analyzing a digital circuit by placing a probe a few inches above the circuit and looking at the waveform, which would be the sum of hundreds of individual signals and would be meaningless.
I don’t get it but anything that improves our health is a good thing.
Just watched the episode of The Schizoid Man, yesterday from the TV series The Prisoner. Way ahead of it’s time in so many ways. They put him through electric shock therapy to change his habits and to get himself back he shorts out a lamp and electrocutes himself. Voila, all programming gone.
Up the voltage.
