Canada released their dietary guidelines for 2019and they are pretty revolutionary. Their latest guide advises both eliminating dairy and trying to replace most animal protein foods with plant-based sources. The guidelines dont focus on set food groups or serving sizes, but rather emphasize consuming whole, plant-based foods and avoiding most beverages except for water.
The guidelines are split up into three main sectionsfoundations for healthy eating, foods and beverages that undermine healthy eating, and the importance of food skills. When it comes to eating advice, the guide simply says to consume produce, whole grains, and protein foods regularly, with most of the protein being friendly for vegetarians and vegans. It also says to avoid saturated fat by consuming unsaturated sources, which are mostly plant-based foods or fish. And it never mentions dairy consumption.

CanaDUH. Is it approved by just-teen true-DOH?
In other words, turn people into cows.
I remember years ago when some vegan tried to get the Eskimos to give up whale and meat hunting and go Vegan.
They laughed at him.
This should put to rest any notion that such guidelines are for the benefit of the public.

Everyone knows they can grow every vegetable know to man in the Frozen North
And if history is an example, anything the Canadian government “recommends” eventually becomes mandatory.
Already known. All of health problems may not be due to source only..but amount. One can get fat on vegetable diets also. A loaf of whole wheat gluten free bread ,a pint of beans and 3 oz. of peanut butter plus an avocado per meal will get ya to be a porker also. Don’t forget the insects one inadvertently eats.
Of course this has nothing to do with the fact that Canadian Dairy farmers are no longer protected by high tariffs from competition from US dairy farmers. Much.
My doctor said he’s gone almost totally vegetarian and so have almost all of his colleagues, including all of the cardiologists.
He didn’t exactly tell me I *had* to, but said that his decision was ‘evidenced based’ and his stated intent is to be healthy at 100.
He’s a fairly conservative, intelligent and sane person; doing the opposite of ‘do what I say, not what I do’, so it carries a lot of weight.
Somehow I dont think the Alberta Health Minister will be following these suggestions.
“There’s no such thing as a safe substance, only safe amounts”.
Do their guidelines include Haagen-Dazs?
Soyboys rejoice.
I have a conflict in the recommendations; eating whole grains and drinking only water. Bourbon would fit the former very nicely.
“In other words, turn people into cows.”
More BEEF!
Meat and dairy increase muscle mass and free testosterone.
Bad things for socialist subjects.
She looks pretty well fed. She might want to consider the portion sizes again.
so now they want to control the food. When are people going to wake up and realize the left is a vicious and relentless force determined to get us by the necks and bury anyone who doesn’t conform?
Do the guidelines have any more force than a queef?
