Chicago police are reporting gunpoint robberies targeting people wearing pricey Canada Goose jackets as temperatures plunge in the city.
Over the past two weeks, police say there's been a spate of the thefts in which people wearing the luxury coats have been targeted and forced to give up the jackets. The coats can cost upward of $1,000 and are often seen on celebrities.
Six people had their Canada Goose coats stolen last week and two more were targeted Wednesday.
Police say two men jumped from a Mercedes, showed a gun and punched a 54-year-old man before forcibly taking his coat and wallet Wednesday. The same night, two men showed a gun to a 23-year-old man walking with a friend and demanded his Canada Goose coat.

Well, it seems we are getting a ‘better class’ of criminals as the pointed out ones jumped from a Mercedes, some of the ‘porch snatchers’ were IDd in the DC area in Range Rovers, if not a better class criminal, at least they are using er stealing classy vehicles

Based on their website, their sales are targeting the black population who would easily be the ones to take “what’s rightfully theirs” off the backs of those who can afford them.

Imagine what would happen if one walked around Chicago wearing Canada Goose AND Nike Jordans’.
Maybe these goose down coats were robbed to spec. They had a few customers who told the thieves what size and color they wanted.

Let’s call these jackets what they are, Down Filled Parkas....Never saw one worth $1,000 in my life.......I’ve got one of the best made and warmest coats I’ve ever had in my life and it only cost me about $200.....and worth every penny in the weather we’re currently experiencing.
