In American Cosmic, D.W. Pasulka, a professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, draws on a six-year ethnographic study and the work of Carl Jung (Flying Saucers) and Jacques Vallee (Passport to Magonia and The Invisible College) to explain the widespread belief in aliens. Pasulka identifies three aspects of UFO inquiry: physical evidence (crash sites and artifacts); testimonials made by experiencers; and the persistence of belief whether or not there is verifiable evidence to support it.

Pasulka also challenges the view that UFO believers are uneducated, fringe members of society. Some very well-regarded scientists, she indicates, are convinced that non-humans have visited Planet Earth; they have chosen to remain anonymous to protect their professional reputations.

Using a method common among anthropologists, Pasulka maintains she neither believes nor disbelieves but insists that testimonials are, in important ways, “real.” This approach allows her to gauge the impact and internal logic of a “thriving belief system.”

Pasulka regards them as “heroes,” who have “the guts and ability” to take on skeptics, and are “fighting the good fight for the right reasons”: because they believe, and “they would say,” because they know.

Pasulka turns her attention to television shows and movies. Models of “events” can be conflated, she asserts, even when one “representation” is real and the other is fictional. The likelihood of putting a model in “the wrong bucket” increases when producers (whose clients include National Geographic, The History Channel, and The Smithsonian) use a genre called “specialist factual programming” to fuse archival material and special effects to create realistic montages, with “documentary” in the title.

These productions influence memory, Pasulka emphasizes; “they contribute to belief in fabricated UFO phenomena.”

Yes, the bad ones spoil it for any possible legitimate ones. Like I mentioned on this thread, I've seen a UFO myself, but I'm not saying it was aliens, only that I can't explain it. And I know people whos' word I trust that have seen odd flying things as well. So my mind is open on the subject.

As the book by Lloyd Pye is aptly titled, "Everything You Know Is Wrong." There are crash sites (now scrubbed clean, as in MIB). There are craft that have been recovered (think Indiana Jones' government warehouse). The predecessors to the Deep State absconded with the evidence and have generally destroyed the lives, reputations, or careers of those who have set forth to talk about what they know. To wit, John F. Kennedy, Bob Lavar, President Donald Trump.

The Powers That Be in this world are not interested in seeing their nest egg of wealth, technological advantage and the positions of power to tax our society into strangulation, to share that with those they consider non-elites.

We are placed in a backdrop to cause the persistence of belief in the absence of life beyond our ken. It's called normalcy bias.

We've been trained to use that verbal weapon, "conspiracy theory" to discredit those that come forth with any evidence. Our schools have so emotionally overwhelmed childrens' responses to new information that as a society we cannot deal with facts, evidence and reasoning. We've rather completely given our minds over to celebrities, government and the Politically Correct fads of the day.

Weep for a culture that can no longer seek and discern facts, removing themselves from believing what can be scientifically discerned, instead keeping themselves anchored in the immutable thoughts of what they think their society already knows. We are generally incredibly susceptible to Mind Kontrol--ULTRA.

If we would allow ourselves to be shaped by the preponderance of the evidence available to us, we would be a much better society and more resistant to control from those who would subjugate us in the socialist, globalist, New World Order. PDJT has put this before us as "MAGA," but we all need to do our parts.

And whatever DNA they had in cryogenic lead containers. Or perhaps the AI machines can print DNA based on blueprints the originator species stored in the AI memory with nano scale printers. Von Neumann machines are something we may soon be capable of building. Our species may not be around on Earth by the time the first of them reach other stars, but an element of humanity will persist.

Unless someone can demonstrate a realistic theory of hyper drive, or traveling through wormholes automagically, Von Neumann type probes represent the most realistic means of interstellar exploration/colonization from an Extra-terrestrial hypothesis angle as it relates to UFOs.

The inter dimensional/demonic hypothesis requires no interstellar travel, only the ability to manipulate human perception. The problem with this theory is that decidedly non-human perception based physical effects seem to have been recorded on radar/film/alleged landing sites.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that both may be in play. I can only rely on the anecdotal evidence of my own eyes in the wake of a daylight disc sighting (guesstimate around 2000 feet in altitude) and another night time sighting of a low flying, structured disc (guesstimate traveling from below my hilltop position to around 1000 feet straight over my head) .

That being said, pretty much 99.99999% of the video you see on Youtube is either fabricated or a bird.

I knew a pastor a few years back who was very involved in things kind of Supernatural around biblical subjects and he always seemed to take the approach that anything eerily science fiction, for lack of a better term, were manifestations of satanic activity. And that’s how he explained UFOs and other things. They were unfriendly Spirits, they were manifestations of Satan they were satanic! And that was his approach to anything that wasn’t normal that could have been going on in our minds are even presenting itself before our eyes, to confound us and to keep us away from belief and christian walk.

Not being easily swayed by the strange happenings that people claim have occurred and other things that you hear on Coast to Coast at all hours of the night, I have come to generally agree with his assertions that they are indeed, manifestations of satan and satan’s minions.

We clearly have the authority to battle these manifestations. Get the behind me satan.

Another one of his oft-quoted sayings was that “if you play by the slippery ditch long enough you’re going to slip into it.” So...it is probably better if we maintain our walk with Christ rather than entertain these dalliances with unfriendly spirits.
