It was the military defeats...it was the expense of foreign wars which caused demise of empires.
I am skewered regularly here for favoring H1-B visa’s. So I agree with you it works better if the IT people are all here, including imported workers managed by an American outfit.
My point was if H1-B visa’s for computer programmers were abolished, the American outfit may be forced to do something drastic like setting up an operation in India, managed by Americans.
American companies have setup shop in India. If you’re talking about having a significant number of US citizens being placed in India, managing Indian development teams... I doubt the Indian government would allow it.
My good friend works for Accenture as a manager, dealing with Indian development teams. He has to be on the phone with India at 6 AM & 9 PM to manage around their work schedule.
If there’s a problem, there is a local manager in India to deal with the problem. With the time difference, any issue can cause delays.
Most homeless are drug or alcohol dependent or have untreated mental illness. That is the problem, not lack of jobs.
And, cost of labor going up means inflation goes up and the purchasing power of one's savings goes down.
Get a grip and stop whining. Trump has INCREASED the number of manufacturing jobs. We have a record number of job openings.
You don't seem to grasp basic economics -- the issue is inflation vs. jobs.
Most people in retirement or headed for it don't want to see the value of their savings evaporate so we can pay Americans $25 an hour to shuck corn.
Trump has absolutely delivered on his job promises. He has dramatically increased manufacturing jobs. We have a 50-year low unemployment rate and record number of job openings.
We have 50-year low in unemployment. He's delivered on his job promises. It's ridiculous not to be grateful.
But, inflation is valid concern for the average American, especially older ones. And, that is what will happen if we're paying American fruit pickers $25 an hour. Businesses will raise prices to their profit margins.
We have certain people here sounding like labor union boss stooges that don't understand the need for some balance between workers and business interest in order to provide the best economic conditions for the average American.
Have you posted this previously?
If you follow the issue and threads, it is not just programmers...
You need to read the entire comment you think you responded to. Your comment is ridiculous, and if you or anyone else pretends that the president cannot harm himself by doing a 180 on his - written - immigration policies, then youre a detriment to his re-election prospects.
So, I guess youre opposed to welfare to work and other programs that could reduce the trillion a year spent on anti-poverty programs, and reduce the millions of unemployed who are not counted in the official unemployment stats?
Don’t go all concern toll over this comment....we have a bout 6 million out of work and over 7 million unfilled jobs....Trump wants Americans to do these jobs but it would appear there are a lot of Americans who like Ocasio’s version where we take care of people unwilling to work.
At any rate - Trump sometimes makes statements to “reporters” that aren’t in his promises to the People.
That is pure stupidity then. Because even if we paid Americans decent wages the inflation would be tiny. The per fruit labor cost is nothing at retail no matter who picks it.
Yes, you can be selfish greedy bastard up to the day you die. You can grow up, work amass wealth in one great America then turn it into s-hole when it convenient for you to grow old and to die. I get it - the worst generation.
You are what I call part of the worst generation, a real downer a$$h0le. You hate Americans and guess what? They hate you back.
WHEN YOU FLOOD THE COUNTRY WITH 3RD WORLD LABOR IT DISTORTS THE MARKET VALUE OF LABOR? IT’S HOW YO CREATE A SOCIALIST COUNTRY.
or just not vote at all.
I reject Free Traitors completely. I’ve watch the population DOUBLE since my birth so stuff it.
