TRUMP-SOTU: "I want people to come into our country in the largest numbers ever, but they have to come in legally." REPORTER: "So, youre changing your policy officially, then? You want more legal immigration?" TRUMP: "I need people coming in because we need people to run the factories and plants and companies that are moving back in. We need people."

Even so those are decent wages that Americans SHOULD be making!
60,000,000 abortions since 1973.
No, those are wages that have been earned. Most workers are not worth paying that much for their time. Oh, it would be nice if more could be paid more.
But.
If the minimum wage were doubles to twice it’s current amount, would today’s workers work twice as hard, make 1/8 the number of errors and mistakes, produce 1/8 the waste they do now, produce twice as much as they do now, bring twice the number of customers they attract now, or grow twice the crops they do now?
Third world legal immigrants become citizens and vote for Democrats.
Third-world legal (and illegal) immigrants have citizen children who grow up and vote for Democrats.
CA, CO, NM and NV are now politically dead and forever in the Blue side of the Electoral College mainly due to nation-ending LEGAL immigration from the wrong places.
Trumps reversal is a betrayal of MAGA.
Welcome to a nation-wide California.
Elected to stop the end of our nation, New York Donny instead accelerates it.
Not if they paid more attention to the laws.
Another election coming up Nov. 3, 2020 in
which you can vote to kick him out.

We need immigrants since Americans including many recent immigrants have decided not to reproduce (I am guilty on this point, only one son). If we follow the German model, we will bring in Western Civilization haters who worship a murderer called Mohammad who want free stuff and have no skills.
A better model is to choose people who love freedom, have critical skills, and want to embrace our culture. Everyone wants to come to the U.S., we can be selective.
As for CentralVa thoughts: I reject them completely.
If a corporation needs to import someone from India to do a job, perhaps that job should be done in India.
- @hoapres, from the old Dice job board
The most prosperous country on earth (as measured by number of millionaires / population size) has 33% of its workers imported from other countries. But none of those foreign workers get path to citizenship. They get a temporary work visa.
A smart person will copy what is actually working good.
A stupid person tries to follow theories of what should work good.
Better yet, move the entire IT operation to India. With the World Wide Web it can be done in real time.
Did not Rome follow that same path and ended up ?......
I’m not sure I’d want that. I’ve seen good guest workers from India. I’ve also seen guest workers from India where I could hire Howard, Fine, & Howard to replace them & they’d do a better job.
Rome’s downfall was sending armies in foreign lands.
Third Reich in Germany went down after sending armies deep into Russia.
Mughal empire in India went down after it tried to conquer more territories southern India.
United States has burdened itself with national debt it can not pay back with wars in Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya.
Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
If those “good” workers from India are prohibited from acquiring work visa’s (H1-B), the outfits who use them currently may not have much choice left.
Note-—MOST H1-B workers are computer programmers. With the WWW that job has become easy to move anywhere.
Roman citizens were way out numbered in the end and the armies were foreign mercenaries who could care less . Talk about repeating and ignoring history
True.
There’s the reality of trying to manage a team of Indians from the US. I have a good friend who has to deal with this. The process barely works, which explains the need to bring the workers stateside.
