Full Title: February Full Moon 2019: The 'Super Snow Moon' Brings Planetary Conjunctions and Other Celestial Treats
The full moon of February, called the Snow Moon, will occur in the U.S. during the morning of Feb. 19. It will be at its fullest about 6 hours after reaching perigee, the nearest point from Earth in its orbit creating a "supermoon," a full moon that is slightly larger than average.

I survived the Super Duper Rabid Wolf Blood Moon of Frozen Death Total Lunar Eclipse last month.
Somebody is cranking these strange names out for phases of the Moon. It sounds as though they’re talking about a character in a Japanese Animation film or a flavor of Greek Yogurt. I sort of ignore them all.
Some words and phrases I do not ever ignore due to where I live; words such as Earthquake, Brush Fire, Brown-Out, Black-Out or Flash Floods!
I think it’s the easter moon perhaps . I know Easter falls on the sunday right after the first full moon in spring unless that fool moon falls on a sunday than easter is the Sunday before. Also used to open trout fishing and game bird hunting in certain state while shutting down big game in others.

At the end of the article there is a section about the Old Farmer’s Almanac who made up the list of names from traditional sources (natives etc.)
Astronomers don’t use them. Astronomers (for the most part) want the Moon to be less bright and to get out of the way.
Thanks fieldmarshaldj. Snow moon, that just means there's snow. Bleah. It's been a fairly easy winter, apart from the past four or five weeks.
