What are health risk of drinking 2 cans of regular Coca Cola a day?
Stuff is poison, stay away from it.
Quit all sodas a few years ago, don’t miss it.
women & minorities hardest hit!?
“The new findings are based on a big study of women and show some groups are at even greater risk, with those drinking two or more diet drinks a day who were also obese having more than double the stroke risk.
And African-American women also had a higher risk of stroke.
Dr Mossavar-Rahmani did stress while their findings suggest a link, they couldn’t prove diet drinks cause stroke and heart problems.”
Large consumption of processed sugars is the sure fire best path to heart disease... and the medical and food industries have known that for decades, and keep flat out lying about it.
What perfect timing for this post!
I very rarely drink soda, let alone diet coke. Yet, here I sit with a can of Diet Coke right in front of me.
D’oh!
Maybe I'm the outlier?
The diet drink isn't the cause. It's a sister symptom.
But seriously, my grandmother has been chugged copious amounts of TAB Cola (yeah disgusting) since before I was born (at least the late 1960's), (I think the local Kroger special orders it for her these days) and she's still going strong at 94. So it couldn't be too bad for you....
Warren Buffett drinks 5 cans of full-sugar Cherry Coke per day. He’s pushing 89 and runs a $500 billion company. You’re good.
Never too late. Stay away from HFCS. Or you could try the all natural gluten free probiotic organic beverage with hops, barley and other natural grains health drink otherwise known as beer.
My mother in law is almost 300 lbs...drinks a half dozen a day. might as well switch to real coke.
I drink any where from 1 to 3 diet cokes every day. No coffee or tea. 58 and in perfect health. Go to the gym 1 to 3 times a week. Workout classes, not just lifting weights at your leisure! lol Oh well, I’ll take my chances.
I should be dead by now apparently.
I started on diet drinks a few years ago to get away from high fructose corn syrup. My cholesterol problem went away when I stopped gulping down large amounts of high fructose every day.
Didn’t I read that POTUS drinks 12 cans of Diet Coke a day? He’s still blowing and going.
It is all BS. I don’t pay any attention to “studies say” anymore.
Other people can. I don’t. I am living my life, not getting whipsawed on a daily basis by this pap.
I’ve been drinking Diet Caffeine-Free Pepsi for the past 20 years because I’m diabetic...take oral meds. Was raised on regular Pepsi. I’m 71, and recently passed a stress test, Echocardiogram, Ultrasound on my carotids, along with regular blood tests. All is well. I’m the baby of the family, and the last one left. I’ve already outlived three of my family members. My oldest sister lived the longest to 74. My only brother died at 51 of a massive heart attack. They all smoked. I never did. I’ll take my chances with the Diet Pepsi.
My Aunt who lived in Amarillo drank sodas by the case lot daily. She lived to late nineties just like all the others in the family that lived into their nineties, with one going on to 103. I’m not too concerned about the few sodas out of the liter jug we chug each day.
These scareya articles don’t work with me. I smoked for fifty years, and quit only ten years ago, and am still breathing too.
Those obese people seeking to cut caloric intake are naturally going to adopt drinking diet drinks. . . Among other artificially sweetened foods. The fact they are eating low or non-caloric sweeteners is not what increases their tendency toward a greater morbidity, it is the obesity itself.
This is the classic logical fallacy of correlation is NOT necessarily causation.
As an Octogenarian that had a quad graph 13 years ago (no heart attack) found blockages on Nuclear test, I’ve been on diet pop for years and now I’m on Root beer love it, however,
I do take the carbonation out though. Maybe TMI.
Whatever. I drink Diet Coke every day and I’m fine.
