Local community activists have been critical of the raid and neighbors have portrayed Tuttle and Nicholas as a disabled couple who seemed law abiding
Police say they did find firearms at the home, along with marijuana and cocaine

Kind of contradicting evidence on the couple. Also, this lie is predicated on an informer. Not exactly a paragon of virtue. I'll wait until all the evidence is in, but if this is true then the bad cop needs to be dealt with severely as bad cops ruin honest cops in the process.

I am a firm believe in due process. It is the foundation of our legal system.

Bottom line, HPD executed 2 people.

No, execute, in this context, means to execute a judicially ordered death warrant. This was not an execution, this was a murder. Felony murder. The raid was felonious, based on a search warrant obtained by perjury. Any evidence of criminal conduct against the two would have been the fruit of the poisonous tree, and inadmissible. Z

I am not anti-cop, I am anti-criminal, regardless of whether of not he wears a badge.

“Authorities still believe Tuttle and Nicholas were involved in criminal activity”

Yeah, it might be a safe bet that they might have been party people, even at their age.

A bag of marijuana and a "small amount of white powder", which of course could also have been brought into the house after the fact by others...

There's the matter of the mattress tags, though. How do we know all the mattresses in that house still had all the tags that they came with?

Dennis and Rhogena need to prove that they didn't do anything to those matt-

Oh, wait.

Never mind.

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life.
Until such acts result in execution of the murderers swiftly after the commission of the crime, the immorality running rampant in our government will continue Unabated. And increase.

Friday, the informant told investigators he or she had not bought any drugs at the home and had not been involved in any work leading up to the raid.

Isn’t it more likely the informant lied?

Drug cops are the same class of subhuman garbage that they are allegedly protecting us from.

Well, then how were these people chosen? Seems like a real mystery.

There is speculation that an anon phone tip of drug house on harding street got misheard as hardy st. They took short cut and claimed they had CI make drug buy in order to get judge to sign onto warrant. It’s been reported that there were baggies of heroin in one of the cops’ cars. Was that in order to plant evidence? Were the victims killed instantly or were they handcuffed and then left to bleed out without aid?

Back to this again indeed. I think it’s a cycle.

You have a rash of criminal activity by the cops. No knock raids like this, cops shooting dogs, cops shooting blacks on the street for no reason, cops even shooting innocent women from Australia, and so on.

Then what follows next are assaults on cops. Cops getting shot and killed. Cops being ambushed as they sit in their cop cars. And so on.

This is a sick societal problem trying to balance itself out. I wish we could return to normal days. But I’m afraid the good old days are gone.

Actually it's what DOES happen. By this I mean the active and deliberate criminal actions that are used to excuse and enable a culture of out of control cops. Does Internal Affairs find wrong doing in even so much as 0.1% of the cases? Does anyone know the actual statistic?

FReedom FRies or FRench FRies, it is all in ones perspective I suppose. In either case it's out of control. My father (retired LEO), 2 older brothers Army MP's, other extended family the same to this very day and I was handed a badge when I ended my Army hitch ('83), all I needed to do was go through the motions and I turned it down. There is not enough bandwidth afforded FReep for the explanation as to why I did such.

Please add me to your JBT ping list.

Acevedo said authorities will conduct an extensive internal review of Goines' prior cases as well as other cases by the agency's narcotics division.

'We have 5,200 officers and I would ask that nobody paint our department with a broad brush. This is not indicative of the greater work that goes on here,' Acevedo said.

Anything less than two capital murder charges against Goines will be "indicative" of massive corruption in a criminal bunch of uniformed thugs.

Don’t be so hasty. Has anyone checked to see if their mattress tags are still in place?

Well, it’s Acevedo, so it should be expected. He’s a career dirty cop.

Indeed. I just read where that cop who shot that Chicago boy in the back nine times just got his ass beat in prison.

My 40+ year of experience dealing with police departments from forces of three to thousands has taught me that 85-90% of police officers are honest, conscientious, brave men and women that do their level best to protect their citizens from the scum that surround them.

For the most part their personal well being is low on the list of priorities and although tend to give the benefit of the doubt to their fellow officers

100% agree.

Nearly every dealing I have has with police has been positive, even when I was ticketed. The one exception was a burn-out CHP officer on Christmas Eve a few years back, I got roundly chewed out by him. I figured out he was this way with everyone when the second CHP office showed up and apologized for his behavior, before did anything else, and without observing any of the arse chewing. He knew his colleague was out of control. He tried to smooth it over to protect (and ultimately) enable his colleague. BTW, I wasn't offended, I felt sorry for the first cop. It's only a matter of time before he mouths off at the wrong person and has a stretch of 395 named after him.

but WOULD NOT cover for them if they reasonably suspected malfeasance.

There is a LOT of social pressure to shield a bad cop, shunning, no one wanting to go on patrol with someone they "can't trust", colleagues leave the cop bar when you show up, etc. Maybe one in 10 of that 85-90% can stand up to the possibility of shunning. I don't particularly blame them, it's buried very deeply in our human DNA, shunning used to be just about the worst punishment any clan could inflict. Watch a baby freak out if mommy and daddy ignore them for a few minutes. Multiply that by how ever many friends and acquaintances you have as an adult. Could you stand it?

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo said the ongoing investigation into the drug raid appears to have uncovered 'some untruths or lies' in the search warrant.
He called this 'unacceptable.'

Acevedo said: 'When we prepare a document to go into somebody's home
it has to be truthful, it has to be honest, it has to be absolutely factual.
So, we know already there's a crime that's been committed. A high probability
there will be a criminal charge.'

Houston cop 'lied about drug dealing so officers could storm home' sparking a
shootout which left a couple dead and five officers wounded

They didn’t wear body cameras, which btw should be mandated by law for all police officers to wear including FBI, ATF, etc.

“Maybe someone wanted the real estate?”

Not to this degree of action, but you have no idea how many times this actually happens, especially with automobiles they would like to see go up on a lien sale auction so that they can buy them cheap. We see a lot of this in the towing and impound business, been going on for years.

Damn.

Just so no one misses it:

And not a single foto of Ofc. Goines anywhere. Hmmm. He has a long history of complaints, and these aren’t his first killings. There was a road rage incident some years ago in which the other driver was shot dead. You can be sure many of his fellow officers were aware of all this.

*sigh*

They each personally enabled him to get more and more out of control, day by day, sadistic act under color of authority by sadistic act under color of authority.

Not one of them said 'knock it off', not one said 'stop it', not one said 'NO!'

Charge him as an accomplice to murder. These rotten MFrs need to be thrown under the prison for the rest of their miserable, useless lives.
