The back ups and the sax man stole the show. Lead singer’s voice is awful.
I saw an interview with her years ago. She did short bit of a cappella. Great voice.
This song always makes me think of the opening scene of Dirty Dancing.
I can Hear Music(Beach Boys)
I can Hear Music (Brian Wilson And Ronnie Spector)
I can Hear Music (Kathy Troccoli and Beach Boys) (My favorite version)
Bum. Pad dum.
Grace Slick has a cool name.
Reminds me of cruising the drag on Main St Hackensack in 64’/ 65’ with my gal by my side in my 64’ Bonneville convertable. Great memories.
Well, that sent me on an enjoyable five hour detour on youtube.
Hal Blaine made that song on drums in the original.
Grace Slick - back up singer....LOL!
Phil Spector fun fact...
PS had many “gofers” who helped him including one who got “paid” in free use of the studio.
That gofer was a young Sonny Bono and used the free studio time to record his hit, “I Got You Babe” with some freak named Cher.
Sonny also co-wrote “Needles & Pins” that became a hit for The Searchers.
Loved Ronnie, her new Ronettes and the Big Sax Man. Spectacular video! Thanks!
In 1983, I saw Ronnie at a concert at El Camino College in Torrance, Calif. which featured featuring many artists who had once worked with Phil Spector. Afterwards, it was rumored that Spector himself was somewhere in the audience. Ronnie did a good performance, but Martha Reeves of Martha & thre Vandellas stole the show. Her singing inspired about half the audience to get up and dance in the aisles.
You Had the Time--The Heartbreakers (1963)
Wonderful, Lovable You--The Teddy Bears (1959)
Ronnie was a good looking woman...huge speakers
Why she married that nutjob...
She had an affair with Keef early on....
Before Pallenburg for him
Petite little thing...
Really cute
Man that is one eclectic rendition....
Ronnies voice is strong....whew
Ronnie can be heard in the chorus of Eddy Money’s “Take Me Home Tonight.”

Brian Wilson used to listen to this over and over: The Wall of Sound at its best.
I think Cher was a backup singer on this song.
I use Musereo to create pseudo-stereo versions of songs like this: cleans up the sound stage so I can hear nuances better.
Reprised with Eddie Money.
