She was pretty burned-out by then. Phil Spector was beyond demanding, and a lowlife, criminal scumbag.

The lead singer? That rock-n-roll goddess is not just "the lead singer", and her voice is fine.

Having said that, the original is better.

The sax man was Clarence Clemmons from Springsteen’s E-Street Band.

He passed away some years ago. Amazing musician, and fondly remembered.
