I read all sorts of posts by liberals when Trump got elected and was going to talk to Kim Jong Un and it was all, ‘we’re going to end up in a nuclear war’ ‘he’s going to get us all nuked’ blah blah blah.

It was Obama that was going to do that.

Yes, if they got decent telemetry off their missile launches and decent data from the test detonations... They will be taking what they learned, analyzing it, possibly updating some designs. If they’re only changing piece parts, often they can be tested in isolation and relative secrecy. No one in their right mind expects NK to actually stop and give up. I’m sure the President and his people have no such delusions. We can get them to stop the big visible stuff like launches and detonations under threat of sanctions. But they will still be making some progress.
It’s complete bullsheiss. Obama [the guy who drew multiple red lines for Assad to step over without acting] considered no such thing- Woodward’s such a liar. Obama’s been a member of the nuclear freeze movement since the 80s and all his pals are part of the anti-nuke Global Zero movement.
Obama would have shot down Israeli planes before nuking NK.

Under Obama, our enemies were encouraged to advance their military and weapons and to even take aggressive actions against their neighbors. ISIS was created under Obama, and Crimea was taken by Russia under Obama, and Georgia was attacked by Russia, and all Obama could do was to issue letters of disagreements. If Obama was still president, ISIS and Al-Qaeda would have grown and expanded to other countries and Russia would likely have annexed some of its former member states when it was known as the USSR. Putin is still looking to expand and so are the terrorist organizations, but Obama is not there to help them in their quests.
