As much as I dispised Obama I would definitely have a problem with anyone dealt with in the manner Manafort was after the government had already made the decision the issue was not worth going after.
It was only worth while when it could be turned into a weapon, as for myself I have no respect for a government that turns itself into a weapon against it’s own citizens. How about you,are you good with the government turning itself into a political weapon against it’s own citizens?
I dont see it as a political weapon. It just happens to involve political people. What was done to Manafort was done under Trumps justice department. It was done to Clinton associates during Whitewater. And is often done in cases not as high profile.
They are simply establishing the fact that human governance is over. Humans cannot be trusted.

So NOT a Life sentence.
Should have let him go for time served.
