GRANGER, Ind. - An 11-year-old boy shot his father last month after his parents took away his video games, investigators said recently.
The father, an off-duty state trooper, was shot once in the buttocks on Feb. 22 with his service weapon , the South Bend Tribune reported.
Investigators said the boy got the weapon out of his fathers locked patrol vehicle, which was parked in front of the house, the Tribune reported. The boy told investigators he meant to shoot his father in the head but was unable to because of the way his father was lying in bed, the Tribune reported.
The boy told police he wanted a PlayStation, an Xbox and a computer, the Tribune reported.
(Im) going to get these simple things, or there would be a part two, the boy said, the Tribune reported.

There is no ‘cure’, it is inherent in their being...............
Bet you’re wrong... he’ll get them at the foster home or minimal security youth prison along with three gourmet hots and a cot, only to be turned loose on the rest of society at no older than 18.
Must be a lousy game player.
If he was aiming for his head and shot him in the butt?
I think there are more of these kids out there than we think. Satan is doing a good job of indoctrinating all ages “one-on-one”.
Yeah that’s a big miss :)
Either way, up for adoption he goes!
This kid sounds like a bad seed who must never be released.
Hopefully kid gets locked up for a VERY LONG TIME.
Wonder what Freud would say?
The sense of Entitlement is strong in this one.
Thursday was not the first time this month police were called to the Conover Drive
address. Two officers were dispatched there Feb. 13 for a welfare check after
an 11-year-old called 911. The child reportedly said he had been bad and had
been struck by his mother. No report was filed by officers.
LMAO! Well played, my FRiend!
Sad.
Good friend of mine works at a big local hospital. She was recently assigned to be a “sitter” for a day, with a teen woman who had attempted suicide...attempted because her parents took away her smart phone.
You have to remember that this 11 year old thinking.
Maybe because of the position of his fathers head in bed he couldnt see it.
Maybe the foot of the bed was closest to the door of the bed room and the only part of his father visible from the door was his fathers ass and the boy was afraid to enter the room.
Future democrat voter
Yeah, sounds like it was the meds talking?
One more thing...there is a parenting issue here. Screen time is addictive, and has similar effects on the brain as drug use. Parents who give their children devices at an early age are asking for this, sorry to say.
Tragic.
Wow! There are no words!
Anybody still think it’s a good idea to take away video games? For some people that’s their only escape.
Kids!
Thanksgiving dinner must be hell.
