Put two guys in a spacecraft to two
months, and they both come back with herpes.
Heh. It’s puzzling...

There is a scene in an old sci fi movie called “Ice Pirates” that comes to mind.

Another reason to not go to Mars.

Maybe the human gnome wasn’t designed for space travel. Just a thought.
To: DUMBGRUNT
Wait. Seriously. You can have herpes and still qualify as an astronaut?

Note to self: Never date an astronaut.

I suspect that it’s just the recycled air giving exposure more often to the herpes virus (and let’s be honest, as much as they try to keep everything pretty & clean up there, there’s not really much of a way to do it.)

there was a book written by the scientist woman who was rescued in Antartica at the SCIENCE DOME (6 months isolated contract) via military US plane and she was quite famous back then.
The most interesting thing in the book other than the rescue?
All the scientists were banging each other, even those who were married. 6 months in isolation studying the damn cold weather: what are you gonna do for “entertainment”?

Can they say no, to an AIDS carrier?
And if the herpes virus emerges, what of AIDS?

Perhaps just us were designed to inhabit this very limited biosphere in this tiny address of the Universe.?
