What’s the market for this?

Search using the words, "overland travel" and you will see.

As rigs like this go, it is kind of small and mid range or so in price.

I have a Unimog, similar. I do NOT consider it a good survivalist or "bug out" vehicle.

Things like this are just rolling targets in bad times unless a lot are together ad heavily armed.

Better to be in a nondescript old junker that nobody wants.

“Better to be in a nondescript old junker that nobody wants.”

A company I used to work for had an old Ford Van that was four-wheel drive. It looked like crap, but it could haul butt up hills and go anywhere. (We bought it used - I think the former owner had done some special work on it.)

Other than having to go outside to go to the bathroom, I’m guessing it would have made a pretty good survival vehicle. (Assuming there was gasoline. IIRC it didn’t get very good mileage!)
