I started using Bing over Google as I was sick and tired of Google working with China's military, but not working with ours. They ban gun videos on Youtube. They help authoritarian countries institute censorship in search results. All the while we use them and they make money off of us. Google is Evil.
Bing rewards you for your searches no different than the credit card companies do with their rewards. Using Google with no rewards is akin to using a credit card with no rewards. And Microsoft actually is a patriotic company and does not kow tow to the leftist communist programmers. I got a $5 Amazon gift card after only a few weeks of using Bing.
Make the switch. I am glad I did.

It’s a start, but I think the personal information that they glean from your search data is probably worth a lot more to them than $5. I’d prefer an agreed-upon share of the profits.
And please, spread the word. Hit Google where it counts.
Censorship is not cool. Nor is working with China’s military.
I get about $5 a month, although I’m looking into switching over to Walmart whenever possible. They have free shipping for orders over $35 and no membership fee.
Bing has other rewards too although the Amazon code seems to be the best value.
I’ve been using Bing for years now because of those issues with google, but I’ve never received a gift card. Maybe I should use another search engine for awhile and see if they offer me a gift card when I go back.
$5 bucks with a company which respects the US military is better than $0 from a company which actively works with China.

How do you sign up to get the credit? Anyway, money or not, Google isn’t a search engine anymore. The New algorithm spews out utterly useless results.

Seriously, unless bing has changed dramatically in the past two years it is a garbage search engine—
if you do not like google, try good old ‘Yahoo’ Search, it was always pretty good.
