"..more than half of the Ebola deaths last week occurred outside of treatment centers, according to Congo health ministry data,
meaning there is a much greater chance they transmitted the virus to those around them."
The current outbreak is believed to have killed 676 people and infected 406 others.
Another 331 patients have recovered.
In the past two months, five Ebola centers have been attacked, some by armed militiamen.
That led French medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) to suspend its activities in two of the most affected areas.

More than 11,000 people died in West Africas 2013-16 Ebola outbreak.
Since then, health authorities have worked to speed up their responses and deployed an experimental vaccine and treatments,
both of which have been considered effective.
Ebola. One of the very worst.
Maybe the Democratic Petri Dish of the Congo should just go ahead and succumb. If it isn’t being decimated by disease, it’s famine. If not famine, it’s war. It’s like a permanent stable for the Four Horsemen, the free Inn of the Apocalypse.
How long before EB OLA comes across our Southern Border???
We had it here a few years ago, brought in by medical workers who visited Africa.
Let them migrate to Europe.
All of them.
Welcome them there with open arms.
Please.
Not exactly. It was invited here by Obama to treat an American who contracted the disease there. He was saved. There was a minor outbreak in Texas as a result of the same situation.
When reacted to properly, Ebola’s lethality is its own downfall. In many cases, it will kill its host so rapidly that the host won’t be able to transmit the virus to others before it dies.
Judea Law was Great in that contagiously funny comedy!
Radical Extreme Christians converting non-believers at gunpoint, no doubt.
More likely to come in an airplane.
It’s sexually transmitted, too. Some seem to be cured, but carry the virus.
So I could see some asymptomatic queer killing thousands.
One of my fellow members from the Knights of Columbus is a priest who used to administer to the sick in Africa.
Told me a LOT of places had this weird non-curable diseases no one has heard of and that once you get this disease it’s over. One interesting side note he told us that the US bases in Africa have a make shift clinic outside which treats this diseases. It’s like our military knows how to treat this stuff better than the CDC..
We need to send a Democrat Congressional Investigative Fact Finding Team to the Congo, headed by Pelosi to determine if there is a crisis. (One way ticket)
Hmmm, wonder how these outbreaks keep getting started.
The map is showing about 31 ebola cases in the USA with 9 deaths of ebola in the USA.... Is this possible?

The World Health Organization reports an increase in the number of Ebola cases. Last week, it says there were 72 recorded cases compared to 56 cases of the deadly disease the week before.
The WHO estimates it will take at least six months before it gains control of the Ebola outbreak.
Probably here already...WE’D be the last to know
Yes, more likely to come in by airplane, because it hurts people’s feelings to quarantine an infected area.
Much more politically correct to wait until someone is diagnosed and then try to track down everyone who came in contact with the diseased and warn them that they might have killed themselves, their families and everyone they came in contact with because of that subway ride.
