The Russians cant make a good looking gun to save their lives.

I was just saying to myself, not that it affects the functionality, but these are butt-ugly guns.
Every pic with the finger on the bang switch.
In Russia, rifle shoot you!
The Makarov looks pretty decent, but it’s pretty much a Walther rip-off. Some of their designs have grown on me....Kalashnikov, Dragunov, SKS. Still, they’re more iconic than good looking. The SVT-40 is kinda sleek.

We have a couple of Czech CZ-82s. Nice pistols and the price was right at $195 each. Well made, accurate, and reliable.
I think our Mosins are better looking than anything on this list. LOL
Best,

I have a CZ 82. Great little pistol.
They should upgrade it to the 50 mm caliber bore guage:
Super excellent superior.
The M-38 looks nice. The 91-30 a bit overly long.

We grabbed a pair from a C&R dealer back when. 2 pistols, 500 rounds of ball ammo set us back less than $600 or so IIRC. Shipped right to our door. Hornady makes an FTP cartridge in 9mm Mak, btw.
We should have bought half a dozen.

“Every pic with the finger on the bang switch.”
Russians fight sloppy, dirty, and with lots of volume.
Such methods have their place.
The 9mm blowback AK variant with the big helical-feed magazine looks like a fun bit of hardware.
Ha! Read my mind. Their stuff looks like crap.
Attributed to Ivan Chesnokov on the interwebs:
“Why you want rail for Kalashnikov? Is not good enough as procured from Izhevsk Mechanical Works? You think needs improvement? then maybe you find job with Army of Russia! You have drinks with Mikhail Kalashnikov, trade story of many weapons designed and details of school for engineering?
Or maybe you do not do this. probably is because you never design weapon in whole life. you look at fine Russian rifle, think it need crazy s*** stick on all sides of weapon. You have disease of American capitalist, change thing that is fine for no reason except to look different from comrade. You put cheap flashlight of Chinese slave factory on one side, you put bad scope of American middle west on other side, you put front pistol grip on bottom so you think you are like American movie guy John Rambo. Maybe you put sex dildo on top to f*** yourself in a****** for making shameful travesty of rifle of Mikhail Kalashnikov, no?
Rifle is fine. You f*** it, it only get heavy and still no hit largest side of barn. Go to firing range. practice with many magazine of cartridge. then you not need dumb s*** put on side of rifle.”
This what I talking about
A lot of these are definitely “assault weapons,” nothing you would stick in your pocket just to go to the grocery store, eh?
I'm into guns and shooting and that kinda stuff, so it's always interesting to read up a little bit every AM before going to do stuff, especially when it's informative about stuff one knows really very little about - Russian and ComBloc firearms in my own case.
I especially like the way these photos are captioned; obviously from a person (probably Russian) for whom English is a second language. It's always fun to enjoy English being spoken (or written) by Russians.
Seriously, it would be really cool if you could do like a daily edition of it. It could be about Russian and ComBloc weapons, or honestly it could be about just any interesting stuff from Russia and it would be cool.
Fascinating honestly
