I liked the homemade porch. Seriously - very clever. Nice evening, have a brewski and a smoke outside. Doesn’t get any better than that!
The Lada is a Fiat built under license in Russia. For a real Soviet era car try a Zaparoszets. They look like a downsized Chevy Corvair.
I know what a lada is. I also know that it became a bit of a punchline in its later years of production. The last one, a white station wagon was produced in 2012. They were occasionally seen on the roads in my home town as they were sold in Canada as the Riva, and I grew up in a border town. The zaprozhets is quite possibly the 2nd worst car the communists made (after the trabant).

Modern Ladas are OK.
Modern ladas are also completely different cars from the communist era. Autovaz is majority owned by Nissan.

The Russian people, almost without exception are good hearted and very funny, from years of oppression they have developed a truly wonderful warped sense of humor!

Only in Russia though? You could have told me some of those were U.S. and I wouldnt have doubted it. The adidas slippers with the Benz hood ornaments for instance. You could prolly make a killin’ selling those to nfl, nba players and rappers. lol
During the wsr, they made little roadside scenes using frozen Nazi corpses. They would put them standing up, sometimes doing obscene acts.
