Me neither.

There are all kinds of spoilers flying around. The loudest buzz about episode 5 is that Dany finally goes batshit Targaryen. If so, the question is who puts her down and when.

Dany going mad late in the game has always been a leading theory. If that's her path, I'm surprised the show has taken this long to do it. There have been hints all along, but she's held together reasonably well. A main character doing a Jekyll and Hyde at the last minute is awfully gimmicky, but this is probably driven by the artificial time constraints under which the show now labors. And again, for the umpteenth time, the subtlety and complexity of the plot has continued to decline since the show outran the books.

It seems like that massive battle was GOT shooting its wad. What has come after, so far, is tying up loose ends. Surely the producers did not make the show peak too soon. Nobody would do that.

I look for the demise of a few characters that are no longer needed. Varys could get the brunt of Daney’s wrath, treason talker that he has become.
Euron and his fleet are no longer a factor as everything from here on is going to happen on land. Look for a dragon to come out of the water and finish the fleet.
With Sansa gone, there would be no threat of an uprising in the north, so Daney might do that, which would put her in the sights of Jon and/or Ayra.

Last episode was so bogus my interest is on life support. My new theory involves the books, that if GRRM ever finishes, the books will be completely different from the show. IF he finishes.

I’m pretty sure Tyrion will be king. That was hinted in the first book.

Maybe the Cleganebowl tonight?

Arya is after Cersei. Arya said in last week’s episode she was never returning to winterfell. Hmm

I predict Jon will go back north to rebuild the wall with his direwolf, Dany burns everyone including Cerci, Bran becomes King. Probably another or a litter of dragons come back to fight with Dany. Hound and Mountain die.

My predictions:

Big battle. Dany destroys urines fleet in a night attack with Drogon and goes on to waste Kings Landing but ends up KIA.

John defeats the Golden Company with the ground troops and becomes King.

Cersei is assassinated by Arya.

Quyburn gets killed as collateral damage.

Not sure if the mountain is technically alive but the hound puts him away.

Tyrion gets a job on the small council working for John. Jamie goes to Castle Rock.

Sansa rules Winterfell with Bran just doing his thing.

That’s it for now.

Yes the bald & tatooed wildings came South of the wall with the other free people and they ate some of the people they killed. The “regular” wildings would not participate in that aspect of their attacks. They were with Jon and were trying to attack the Nightswatch from the south and attacked along the way.
Arya will kill both Cersi and Jamie because of what they did to her father.
Jon will go back to the wall because he doesn’t want to rule and Dany is going to die.
Tyrion and Sansa will either rule together from the iron throne or together from their respective seats, uniting the North and South in peace.
Bran just goes out living as the three eyed Raven
Greyworm will die if n battle
The Hound will save Arya from the mountain, and Arya will kill the Mountain but the hound will die from his injuries.
Jacun will return
Arya will go off with him.

Well Cersei got it. Unfortunately Jaime went with her. I feel sad for Brienne. Maybe there’s hope for Tormund yet.

What will Jon do about Dani?

Omgosh ... my husband and I loved the episode (Cleganebowl and Twin Bowl) but our millennial son hated it and thought it was boring. What is with that generation and how everything has to be over the top? We loved the happy endings (such as they were).

Spoiler:
A bunch of stuff happens, and then these two girly men with lisps talk about how good they are at writing/directing/producing “thith thtuff”. Way to knock down your own work butt buddies. I thought they were going to start prancing.

Wow, that was really stupid. The lazy writing is astounding. It is absolutely astounding.

But hey, throw in lots of slow motion scenes with some dramatic music and it really makes up for everything!!

I just don’t know where to start with the inconsistencies, light speed change of character arcs and absolute nonsense.

Season 7: “I’m going to not fly my dragons to Kings Landing and torch it. Instead, I’ll listen to my advisors and just go North to get rid of that Night Kimg plot thingy we can’t seem to figure out how to reconcile with the Cersei thing.”

Season 8: “forget everything you saw in Season 7 and let’s torch the place.”

Oh, and forget the whole Maggie the Frog prophecy thing that we have been following religiously heretofore.

Oh, also, the fact that nobody is left standing after the Battle of Winterfell except the main characters and that most of the Army is toast, forget that too. Suddenly, the Dorthraki are backy and the unsullied just regenerate. Abra ca Dabra.
