She'll be tumbling down Mount Everest when she comes,
She'll be broken, frozen shattered when she comes.
She'll be go flying through the cold air
screaming, "Help me, don't just stand there!"
And still texting from her iPhone when she lands.

You win the Internet, a raucous round of applause, a Guinness, and a kitten.

It was indeed great
He did it in wool and hides and with far less tech equipment

Just go to Florida and get a Fast Pass? About the same money, less crowds with the pass, and you can get a good steak at the park in the Canadian pavilion. Even the yeti are available. Less chance of getting crushed in an avalanche.

Sure, I understand how that all works...but in the end, no matter how it got that way, it was like the voyage of the Titanic...only one voyage, but stupidity and no lifeboats.
All those people and no space on the mountain. Amazing more didn’t die up there.

Actually newer sports arenas are the opposite
They are politically correct
The Titans stadium is like that except on box and club level

Four hundred basis points less risk than my experimental CTO PCI in Chicago last year which was 5-7% mortality
One percent is about like CABG

No problem. And I agree.
The issue may well be the Nepali’s who use the large number of permits to make some $$$.
They should limit it to 20 a year, and the permittees should have to show peak physical stamina and advanced knowledge of climbing.
If not, people die. Hell they die anyways, but the ghouls allowing that many up for $$$ are accessories to manslaughter at least, IMHO.

You get all the way up there, and then you tell Santa you want a football instead of a Red Ryder BB Gun.
