Why the Hammer and Sickle Should Be Treated Like the Swastika
Foundation for Economic Education ^ | Nov 2018 | Richard Mason

Posted on 06/10/2019 5:14:52 PM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

If someone were to ask you to think of either extreme of the political spectrum, odds are you would immediately picture a swastika at one end and a hammer and sickle at the other. Regardless of your views on the left-right paradigm or whether or not you subscribe to horseshoe theory...

As such, many of us would also feel rather uneasy seeing those two symbols. Upon seeing a swastika, we are immediately reminded of the evils of the Nazi regime and are accordingly repulsed. To publicly display the logo is even a crime in many European countries. We understand how abhorrent the ideology is and treat it accordingly with disrespect and disgust.

But how do we react to the hammer and sickle? I don’t have to write an article explaining the millions of deaths that occurred at the hands of communist regimes...

Why do we treat two equally bloody ideologies in such starkly different ways?

"Real Communism Has Never Been Tried!" The answer may lie the in misperceptions of virtue. Nazis, rightfully, are seen as hateful and vicious because their ideology is built around the idea that one group is superior to the other. It is an inherently anti-egalitarian ideology, a violent belief that was put into practice only once by those who devised it.

As such, there is no justifiable way a fascist could argue ‘That wasn’t real Nazism.’ The same is not true for communism.

Any shortcomings, tragedies, or crises a communist regime faces can always be blamed on a misapplication of Marx’s infallible roadmap to utopia.

The communist ideology in its purest form might be separated from its implementations, but at what point does its awful track record discredit any attempts to advocate it?

More people - FAR more people in fact - died under the hammer and sickle than under the swastika.

Be they state socialists or national socialists, socialism sucks and murders millions.

With the swastika as the symbol of the rights hate then it stands to reason that the hammer & sickle stands for leftist hate.

Yes, in small groups communism can work in a sense, but not strictly as per theory. They are similar in that a tribe shares some resources, but there are key differences. A fundamental aspect of communism in large societies is the elimination of traditions and social classes. Small preindustrial tribes are held together by tradition, however, and each member has their own role, different from the others. Some are hunters, some are gatherers, some practice medicine, some make weapons, etc. And they each enjoy the perks of their social class. Communism is a society of drones, basically, all of equal social class.

I knew our American Indians had something of a swastika. It was used as good luck for a time in America.

This needs to be taught. The fact that it does indicates how far we’ve slipped.

They loved Mao, Castro, Stalin, Lenin, Ho Chi Min, Chavez, et al. They claim that any wrongs weren’t the fault of Communism.

They still honor these people when you aren’t looking and they encourage school children to give the finger to the 100,000,000 victims of vile Communist despotism.

We are told that SDS, Hanoi Jane, FTA, et al were “antiwar” but they didn’t decry North Vietnamese war crimes or urge them to choose “peace”.

They didn’t protest Chinese, Cuban, and Soviet aid to North Vietnam.

“anti-imperialism” is a lie, these Commies are quite okay with Communist imperialism and Islamic imperialism. It’s “Western imperialism” they oppose and they are enemies of the State.

Homofascist banner. It is a political symbol. It demands subservience and reverence to their agenda.

If you decry it you are a pariah.

Just 10 years ago even Obama and Hillary opposed same sex marriage when they were courting voters.

California's Prop 8 (Eliminates Rights of Same-Sex Couples to Marry. Initiative Constitutional Amendment) passed by popular vote in 2008.

They know that changing the language shapes thought and vice versa. Change the language enough and an entire generation can be brainwashed. Propaganda is used because it works.

I am in no way supporting banning any symbols, swastika and pride included. Let them display their idiocy so that the normal people may keep away.
