But a valedictorian speech is not the time and place for vicious attacks, true or not.
She should have gone to the school principal privately and bring up the problems. I cannot believe that they would have been ignored.
Theres a 99.9999% chance that they would have been ignored.
Yeah, I'd like to know if she ever raised these concerns before graduation.
Normally true, but if the education system in the PRC is anything like it is in Washingstoned, going through official channels to try and get incompetent educators fired or even disciplined is like nailing jello to the wall.
You’d think you could go to a cop in Seattle and get the illegally parked junker homeless RV drug den ticketed so they can tow it. No can do, they have discretion and homeless people park for free, tickets for you and me.
That’s the way it is and no one in local government will help you.
I imagine her school is about like that when it comes to drunk and incompetent teachers.
NO !!!
Nothing would have been done.
She did the right thing by speaking up in front of Eveyone.
I do.
I'm appalled at the stuff that's covered up by school officials.
What she did was the only venue where her words would have had any impact.
How do you know she wasn’t already ignored and decided that venue was the best bet for getting some Truth out there?
Parents and kids do go privately to all of these paragons of pedagogy, and because they are union, nothing gets done.
This woman’s speech is necessary because every other venue is rigged by the union. You take it, then suck their teeth and shake their heads. You leave and there are notes kept that generally distort things such that it all becomes ammunition for more headcount, and you get nothing.
They have plenty of people to do the job. They just don’t do it.
What I love is that the market is starting to move. Colleges are feeling it. Nobody is willing to pay those prices any more for a degree that means less and less.
Do not venture into that world, I did and now actively campaign for the abolition of public education.
It's like the DMV without the excellent customer service.
Sorry but sometimes you have to step out and call it like it is. The administration would have clearly known what was going on. Good for her.
Bologna.
