Our latest privacy experiment found Chrome ushered more than 11,000 tracker cookies into our browser in a single week. Heres why Firefox is better.
Over a recent week of Web surfing, I peered under the hood of Google Chrome and found it brought along a few thousand friends. Shopping, news and even government sites quietly tagged my browser to let ad and data companies ride shotgun while I clicked around the Web.
This was made possible by the Webs biggest snoop of all: Google. Seen from the inside, its Chrome browser looks a lot like surveillance software.

I like Palemoon, but it has become unusable.
Google and EVERYTHING it touches is evil, IMHO.
Better yet is the Brave browser.
you definitely don’t want to say yes to firefox. they have sold out. there has been recent news where they are all in about suppressing “fake” news and internet censorship. gave them up after they pushed out the creator over his support for prop 8.
And Linux. My 6 year old laptop with Linux is 5 times faster than my 2 year old laptop running Windows 10.
Brave is the best - Brendan Eich deserves our support!
Just for everyone’s information - Verizon Wireless only uses Google for their work computers.

Gargoyle is evil. ‘Nuff said...
My wife and I prefer Opera, which comes with a free VPN.
Opera (like so many other browsers) actually runs on Chrome.
Everything else is just window dressing.
Unfortunately, the Chinese are majority stakeholders in Opera, as of 2016.

Ive never used it

And why Pi-Hole, along w/ uBlock Origin & VPN are the ONLY way to browse\do biz.
Bookmark ... even though I’m a pretty boring web surfer.
Firefox is up to their necks in the technotatorship goal.
“I like Palemoon, but it has become unusable.”
I used palemoon way back when.
But I have gone to Linux Mint Cinnamon as part of my effort to clean out the cockroach and leech infestation. Here’s all the open source stuff I use:
Linux Mint Cinnamon
Apache web server
PHP
MariaDB the Mysql clone
Net Beans Java programming.
Libre Office
Blender for 3D printing modeling and Video editor
Brave browser
Audacity
Bluefish for html
Rosegarden
Hydrogen drms
DVDstyler for DVD creation
Open source all the way baby. That’s a ton of money saved. And more secure.
