President Donald Trump’s Fourth of July “Salute To America” has turned into another opportunity for partisan bickering over crowd size.
“I don’t know what the final count was, but that went all the way back to the Washington Monument,” the president said this morning. Trump also touted the crowd size in a tweet following the event.
In response to the photo Trump tweeted of “Salute to America,” rumors spread on social media that a photo of a larger 2008 concert had been superimposed on the picture, causing Snopes to issue a fact-check to disprove them.
New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez disputed Trump’s claims of a large crowd, tweeting the event was “poorly attended.”

It looked like a pretty big crowd to me.
I mean it must have been if they’re cherry-picking like Obama’s January 2009 inauguration to compare it to.
Snopes is a well proved joke so anyone using them is an idiot, saying that it gives you some reference on how big it really was for them to use them as a source

I think I’m agreeing with you that if liberal Snopes is saying something positive about the President, it’s very likely so accurate that they can’t prevaricate it into anything less that their highest “true” rating.
Heck, Trump could show up at the opening of a landfill and draw a bigger crowd than Hillary.

Hey hey hey- this is a family website
Attendance for the parade was heavy.
I was there.
A couple of young relatives were in one of the school bands invited to participate.
I maybe say 10 people, singles, pairs or threes, who were dressed or carrying signage opposing the President. Street vendors doing a brisk business in MAGA and Trump 2020 gear. My wife got a pretty cool shirt for $5. If I’d have been “working”, I’d have gone the wagon-of-water-and-gatorade-bottles route— those guys tripled their money easily.
The kids were hot, tired, and hungry after the parage so we meandered back to the hotel. My wife and I had a schedule SNAFU that required us to leave town just about the time the President was speaking on the Mall. As we made our way through a *light* rain to the Metro stop, we were frequently passed by people leaving various hotels in the area (a couple of blocks north of the White House) headed for the Mall. Helped one family who seemed to be racing *parallel* to the Mall who thought they were going *toward* it.
This was the first trip I’d ever been on where planes were packed and overbooked.
I have no doubt anyone who could come to DC, even on late notice, did so. We planned our trip last February when we found out the kids’ band would be participating. Spent Monday and Tuesday in the museums etc., then the 4th on Constitution Avenue for the parade and then back to the hotel etc.
I think it is to our advantage for the RATs and the press to continually lowball our numbers.
Hillary was complacent in 2016 and look what it got her.

I was there, truth be told it should have been held in front of the capitol. Most of the space is taken up by the reflecting pool and the trees on either side block any view of the memorial. The photo didn’t show just how many people were in those trees but none of us could see a thing.
If it was crowded and well-attended, then any media/prog claims to the contrary will be denied by all those voices/eyewitnesses. And each of them will tell many others.
Lying is going to hurt them even more than then they already are.
1) It was rainy.(I’m assuming hot and steamy, since it’s DC in July)
2)There was short notice.
3)And it was still packed.
An anti-American’s nightmare.
Is there anything that liberals will not lie about?
The media blackout coverage, how the HELL would they know what happened???
