I always link these posts on Titter (see hashtag #160YearsAgo) for the benefit of my 1,000+ followers. Alas, yesterday I posted a tweet suggesting that the 4 girls of The Squad have a history of anti-Semitic behavior. The Twitter police arrested me and put me in twitter jail where I am to remain for 7 days. During the term of my sentence I am not allowed to tweet, like or retweet. So you good people of freerepublic.com are my sole readership for the next week. Somehow, that doesn’t bother me too much.
They wouldn’t tell me specifically what was offensive about my tweet. They notoriously have a double standard on political tweets. Leftists have lots of leeway. Conservatives don’t.
Hi.
“the 4 girls of The Squad have a history of anti-Semitic behavior.”
Was Twitter’s problem the word, “behavior” as opposed to “rhetoric?”
Methinks behavior and rhetoric are inside the person’s heart and therefore your tweet was accurate and factual.
Twitter, Dempsey and his mods can go and reproduce asexually.

I really was only referring to the girls indirectly. In the midst of the twitter riot over the three-way between Pelosi, the Squad and Trump, some guy posted about his admiration for and allegiance to the squad. In an obviously ironic manner I replied with, "Yay. Kill the Jews. Death to America. People thought Pepe the Frog was offensive. He has nothing on The Squad." So maybe the squad fan reported me for "Kill the Jews" or maybe an algorithm caught it. Whichever, I have joined the ranks of the suspended.
If only there was a conservative alternative to Twitter.
Interesting.
Now your “Social score” will go down because Twitter believes you are an anti-semite. How ironic and wrong.
Facebook and FR are the only sites I frequent. But I understand the censored, demonitized and deplatformed conservatives’ anger is righteous.
You may be chronicling the next “Civil” war for posterity.

I got 7 day Kick from a history website for pointing out that most Trump supporters were not racist and the Democrats reaction to the 2016 election was more than a little whiney.
The site owner hates Donald Trump with the white hot fire of a thousand suns, so it did not go over well.
Consider it a Badge oF Honor...
ASHTABULA, ASHTABULA COUNTY, OHIO, Monday, July 18, 1859.
DEAR FATHER, Yours, dated at Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, July 5, and mailed at Troy, New York, July 7, and also yours of the 8th, with enclosed drafts for one hundred dollars, I received in due season; am here to-day to get drafts cashed. Have now got all my business so arranged that I can devote my time, for the present, entirely to any business you may see fit to intrust me; shall immediately ship your freight, as you directed, most probably by canal, from Hartstown (formerly Hart's Cross Roads, Crawford County), to the river at Rochester, Pennsylvania (formerly Beaver), thence by railroad via Pittsburg, etc., as you directed. Shall hold myself in readiness to go north on any business you choose to direct or confide in my hands. All well; have two or three letters from [New England], which I will forward to J. H. [Kagi].

[CHAMBERSBURG, PA.], July 18.
I wrote to Tidd one week ago to-day, several days before receiving your letter directing mo to do so, and enclosing letter to H. Lindsley, which I forwarded by first mail. None of your things have yet arrived. The railroad from Harrisburg here does no freight business itself, that all being done by a number of forwarding houses, which run private freight cars. I have requested each of these (there are six or eight of them) to give me notice of the arrival of anything for you.

It’s not just the Austrians who will have to be defeated to unite Italy. The Pope will have to give up on the idea of being a temporal prince.
Wrote John, enclosing draft for $100, with instructions. Also wrote Watson some instructions. Also John Henrie.

DEAR FRIENDS, ALL, Oliver, Martha, and Anne all got on safe on Saturday of the week they set out. If W. and D. set out in ten days or a week after getting this, they will be quite in time. All well. When you write, direct to I. Smith & Sons, Chambersburg, Penn.

CHAMBERSBURG, Friday, July 22.
I received the within, and another for Oliver, to-day. I thought best not to send the other; it is from his wife. There are other reasons, which I need not-name now. Have here no other letters from any one.
J. HENRIE.

I know what you mean. But we don't have to wait until April 1861 (2021) to get some excitement. We are in for a few slow months, but after John Brown lights the fuse in October events start accelerating. I have been reviewing some of the 1860 political campaign and it should prove most entertaining, especially since it will occur in parallel with the 2020 campaign. I look forward with keen interest to see how they compare.
A hundred dollars back then was a lot of money.
I hear you can get a Colt 45 and holster for $20, new.
