David, today, we are heartbroken. But it’s more than that --
At least 29 lives were stolen, families broken, communities shattered in El Paso and Dayton within 13 hours. Dozens more wounded. Between those two mass shootings, dozens more were killed and injured by gun violence that didn't make national headlines.
First: Assault weapons and high-capacity magazines don’t belong on our streets.
We must stand up to the NRA and gun manufacturers -- they don’t own this country. We the people own this country.
But even more importantly: We have to address what’s happening in America.
We continue to bear witness to acts of terror carried out with a common thread: hatred of “the other.” We saw it in Charlottesville two years ago, at synagogues in Pittsburgh and Poway, and now in El Paso.
We are in a battle for the soul of this nation. And in this moment, we all have a responsibility to declare with conviction that hatred and bigotry and white supremacy have no place in America.
We will give hate no safe harbor.

The FBI’s own statistics show that semi-automatic rifles are used in fewer murders than hands, feet or hammers. So STFU.

It's great that you are concerned about people being murdered by a mentally-deranged person. The NRA joins you in your anger. NRA members don't murder people. The NRA is the largest organization to teach gun safety and responsibility. Gun manufacturers as well join you in your anger. They, too, never encourage people to use their products unlawfully. Remember, Joe, it's not the gun - it's the person who kills. Millions upon millions of gun owners have never shot anyone, anytime, any day. We gun owners hope that you, Joe, will be as sickened, heartbroken, and angered by the tens of thousands of children who are murdered in the womb by Planned Parenthood, with Democrat support. That's where the real tragedy is in America.

In the Mel Gibson movie “Conspiracy Theory”, the premise of the plot is that the government has different covert sides at war with each other and utilizes trained assassins when needed.
It also shows media manipulation of “events”.
Movies are movies, but, the Deep State is the Deep State.
