In their addons they recommended Microsoft Edge but since I've never used it before I don't see why I would be using it now.

I use Brave as well - you're saying Brave recommends using MS Edge, another browser? I've never seen this.

After it installs it goes to a settings page. I guess it’s trying to set a default browser but the default isn’t on Brave it’s on Microsoft Edge, maybe because I am using Windows 10. I had to do a search to see what Edge even was. I thought Microsoft’s browser was called Internet Explorer.
