Someone please convince me I’m wrong here.

You're not. But that's why it's important not to hinge one's entire conservative worldview on a wall. The real problem has been a cultural lack of self-confidence resulting from the eroding of Europe's Judeo-Christian heritage.

Stay close to God and any nation is good to go. But if you're living like a pagan 24-7 and just happen to want a wall, that's cultural suicide.

Welfare is never the demographic problem.

Social Security and Medicare are falsely blamed as the problem.

Welfare immigrants can grow massively, but Govt looks away.
Import more bums. Govt clerks need the work.

Europe is being destroyed by forced collectivism, corporate-state media control, and gobs of debt and printed money from the European Central Bank.

In such a post-modern, soulless, debt-crushing society - of course no one wants to reproduce.

It’s more complicated than that. A lot of European countries have tried birth subsidies, but it’s not getting enough people of native ethnicity to have children, even children they can’t support.

So, the Canucks have a skills-based immigration policy. Gee, and none of our Crap-Weasel Progressives in this country condemn Canada as a racist nation. Damn, I loathe the lies and half-truths used to keep Democrat voters agitated.

It should be obvious beforehand that importing unskilled workers from poverty-stricken nations won't get you skilled professionals or even technicians.

And yes, Culture matters.

Please, will someone explain why people on the dole for 10 years will get off of it? Some will, but others will use the social safety net for a hammock.

Evidence is accumulating in Western countries and in East Asia that, perhaps beyond a short-term sugar high, subsidizing childbirth does little to raise TFRs. Beyond people with deep religious imperatives to have many children, moderns just aren’t interested in large households. They don’t need big families to insure they are cared for when old, nor are they worried that their children will die young from disease, and the cost in terms of opportunities to invest in career, travel and so on that are foregone when they start having children early is just too high.

Bemoan it if you like, but that’s how moderns are.

Immigrants from the Philippines are the group these countries should allow in. Roman Catholic, hardworking, educated. I have no idea why the Philippines has been ignored as a place to import workers from.

I don't bemoan the replacement of those who won't have children by those who will, but lots of people do.

Many European countries, including Poland, have Filipino communities. However, the distance is very great. Filipino expat workers tend to choose Asia first.

Migrants caused Eurpoes demographic problem starting decades ago when Germany began importing labor from Turkey with the idea that they would work and then go home.

and the Brits were true to their fictional myth of the British Empire that all their previous colonies should be allowed to immigrate to England as British citizens.

For the same mythological reasons, the French let N. Africans into France.

Actually, expatriate workers are probably the Philippines’ biggest export. They are found in the Middle East (where in the Gulf they are sometimes abused), East Asia and of course North America. I suspect they are in Europe as well, although I’ve never read anything specific about that.

And many of them are women. I don’t know how that affects the childbirth considerations that seem to be the focus of some of the commentary on this thread.

America is not a Catholic country. Lots of Filipinos in Italy and Spain already. When I was in Barcelona, I was waited on by Filipinos three times and a Peruvian once.

The Middle East is Asia. North America (mostly the US and Canada) has a long historical relationship with the Philippines. Filipino presence in continental Europe is fairly new and fairly modest, although, as I pointed out, Catholic Poland has become something of a destination.

The situation of Filipinas working abroad is a serious moral and cultural challenge both for the individuals and the society. Married women often leave children in the Philippines with their husbands, who pick up other women, resulting in mixed/adulterous families and/or divorce. (It happens more in an gender-reversed way for Latin American emigrants.)

Single women are extremely vulnerable to sexual abuse and/or non-marital relationships, which often lead to abortion.

Filipinos are the Texans of Asia... They are everywhere! I mean EVERYWHERE! They are even at the South Pole!

“But here’s my fear. Some day the conservatives will be voted out.”

Look what just happened in Italy. One election and the anti-jihad bulldog Matteo Salvini was voted out of the government.

And now the migrant boats full of angry Muslim savages are surging back in again.

Suicidio italiano.

People in Hungary just reelected the PM. They like what he is doing.

I hope here they will reelect Trump and he will do enough so they cannot easily destroy what he accomplishes. Of course we have to keep electing sane people. (NO Dems)

Europe is already dead, killed by toxic ‘tolerance’.
America is close behind, and will die soon because you are banned for even talking about what is killing our society.
There are people who are killing us, but again you will be censored & banned for identifying them.
Western civilization deserves to die due to moral weakness.
So glad I did not add to the victims by having children.
Tolerance of evil *is* evil.
