15 Min and in cool weather a dog warming my feet; perfection.

The grandkids are good too but can be difficult to escape without disturbing them after fifteen minutes.

I HATE being so tired that I fall asleep at around 6 or 7 for a few!!

Then it’s up all night :(

I guess early afternoon is better :)

I used to nap every afternoon until diagnosed with complex sleep apnea 3 years ago - my BIPAP machine helps me get a solid 8 hours at night, and I don’t start yawning at 3pm anymore.

I get my naps in the morning. Wake up bright and early, eat breakfast...and then it hits me that I am in illannoy. Back to bed again.

I used to nap every afternoon until diagnosed with complex sleep apnea 20+ years ago - my CPAP machine helps me get a solid 8 hours most nights, and I don’t start yawning at 3pm anymore.

However, post aorta stent 9 months ago, 3-4:30 pm can be sudden nap time if I’m on my laptop, watching the SF Giants in a boring game, or reading a book that has gotten boring.

Due to my job i have been sleep deprived along with abnormal sleep patterns/times.
Lately, and i’m not kidding i feel like i have a brain tumor. weird buzzing in my head, dizzyness, numb pains in the back corner of my skull....

Either it’s the sleep thing or i need to get a MRI YESTERDAY.
Unfortunately i have no med insurance at least for the next few months..
This sucks and has me worried.

I come from a long line of nappers on my father’s side.

At family events, they would be going politics and religion, tooth and nail!

A few minutes later they would all be napping in place sitting upright. Short time and back at it.

My career Navy father said he could sleep standing up aboard ship,he needed a corner to lean into for support.

Sleeping in a crater and the rains came I woke up in a few inches of monsoon. My buddies said I was crashed hard, so they let me sleep as they moved to higher ground.

I take a nap almost every day, but I’ve always had trouble sleeping through the night.

Due to my job i have been sleep deprived along with abnormal sleep patterns/times.

A neighbor works in a hospital and picks up all the extra hours he can, 8 one day and 16 the next few days... he volunteers for this!
After he retired they made him an offer he could not refuse and he is back at it.
He does take off for extended hunting seasons still, I don’t know how he does it?

Here in DuPage taxes are to the moon and I fear to look at a TV, possibly see that fat slob the toilet mover.

I hear you. I try to nap as much as I can but did no good. I had a pacemaker put in three weeks ago. The wife says I’m lazy. I say “No I’m not. I was just born tired’’.

The worst thing is a non refreshing overnight sleep.

And I will say some prayers that all works out with the pacemaker.

I read your posts and you’re a good guy.

Can’t you use the heart issue as a reason to tell your wife you can’t do so and so right now? :)

Sounds like stress but there are lots of things that could cause it. Irregular sleep can also mess with your body’s timing and ability to produce insulin so you might want to watch your sugar intake and try to focus on foods that are high fiber and high protein and have to be digested slowly- whole grains, nuts, beans, unprocessed food.
