"Ad Astra", Brad Pitt Space Movie: Have Any Freepers Seen it...?
YouTube ^ | Sept 22nd, 2019 | me

Have any Freepers seen this film?

Can you talk about if you liked it, and if so, why..?

For this type of thing I rely on Freepers.

Brad Pitt is selected for a space mission that apparently involves his long last father.

“The 55-year-old actor told a French newspaper that President Donald Trump represented a “much bigger threat” on “more serious issues” than tariffs on the French vineyard Pitt owns with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.”

This from a couple days ago. I thought he tried to keep our of politics. I won’t be going to this reportedly lame movie.

tried to watch it online a few days ago, but the film would not load on the site - figured it was a hacker anyway.

there really hasn’t been a good Scifi movie in a long time. “Interstellar” being the last candidate, prior is maybe “District 9” and “The Fifth Element”. Fantasy: “Life of Pi”

So you gave it a four out of five stars?

I’d give it 1 out of five Black Holes ...

What an asswipe he is. I bet the investors of this movie are real happy with that, he is suppose to be promoting the movie but instead he chooses to insult half the movie viewing public. Strike another celebretard who won’t be getting my money.

It’s pretty amazing. Quiet, thinky. Good stuff. Exactly what all the whiners say doesn’t come out of Hollywood anymore. So of course they won’t go see it.

I really liked “District 9”.

I’ll mention “Inception” and the “Bladerunner” sequel as being good.

I almost never go to the movies and whenever I see a ‘space movie’ I KNOW it’s going to be some kind of a claustrophobic thing, you know, you can’t get out of here kind of plot.

Why should I see something that for an hour and a half makes me anxious?

However I did go see Downton Abbey last night. Loved it.

Hell, I’ll take living in a mansion with a bunch of servants doing all the cooking and cleaning anytime.

Sue me, I love big beautiful rooms and lots of pristine land.

Started watching it on Kodi. Crappy movie. It was like it was trying to be 2001. Very pretentious. The story was confusing. It didn’t hold my interest at all and I love science fiction. A lot of times if I like a movie that shows up on Kodi I’ll go to the theatre and pay to see it. But not this one.

I saw it Friday. I liked it. I enjoyed the story and thought the acting was really good. There were a couple of weak points in the plot but I tend to overlook those. It was WAY better than any of the recent Star Wars or MCU crap.

My hubby & I saw it yesterday. What a huge stinker! I told my husband it was a chick flick with males in a lousy sci-fi format. We are happily telling all we know to avoid the movie at all costs!

I work in the space biz, our company had some visibility in the movie and premiered it for employees. I was looking forward to an exciting movie. It was a dud, plodding along, Pitt was moody and brooding about daddy issues the whole time. I kept waiting for something interesting or exciting to happen, never did. Huge disappointment. Don’t bother with it. My 2 cents.

The worst thing I hate in modern SciFi it is totally unscientific. More like an insult to human intelligence.

I’m right with you on your critique. Saw it yesterday. Did you notice Brad Pitt is looking a lot like Robert Redford did in the Sundance Kid sans the moustache?

This was not my idea of a good sci-fi flick.

The tv series “The Expanse” was far better IMHO.

WAS far better? I think it is still in production.

Of course, I could be wrong.

Based on the pitiless acting quality, do not believe that I’d break my record of movie-theater absence since Godfather II...
