ROFL!! I love KFC!

So in order to grow globally (read in developed countries that hate Christianity and bow to muslims) they turn their backs on the people that made them a 10 billion dollar empire.

The light bulb above their heads says that the NEW customers will more than offset the Christian zealots (us).

But honest, NYC’s lines go on forever sometime and that ain’t all out of town employees.

They’ll lose the sure thing billions in the hopes of replacing that money and then LOTS more.

They will fail.

Samuel Truett Cathey was the source of the Christian Values Chick Fillet once displayed.

Faith isn’t inherited. Spiritual maturity and discipline isn’t inherited either.

Sam Cathey used to be a guest on a Christian radio station in my area, and he gave his testimony and gave thanks to God.

After he died in 2014 Dan Cathey came on a few times and talked about preserving his father’s legacy...but there was never any testimony on what God had done in Dan Cathey’s life.

This didn’t come as a surprise.

Yep businesses come and go. Some prosper some fail and
others just survive. The buying public will determine who
stays and who closes shop.

But how do so called “executives” make such horrific decisions?!!?

“Let’s get rid of, oh, maybe 5 billion in sales and HOPE that if we give in to the gay lobby enough, we can make MORE than 5 billion elsewhere!”

I know i’m being simplistic but why risk your base?

CFA has turned into a homosexual lobbying group. They hired a Clinton crony to run their charity fund, and he’s doing all he can to pour the CFA profits into homosexual groups.

They are relatively new to my area and I have eaten there a couple of times. I was impressed with the service and with the fact that they hire quality people and train them. I like the food but I have had as good or better in mom-and-pop places. I liked that they appeared to be supportive of Christian values, but now that I know the truth, I won’t be helping them feed the enemy anymore.

Franklin Graham has walked back his initial support of CFA

I have not seen that, but by restrictively "donating to a smaller number of organizations working exclusively in the areas of hunger, homelessness and education," even though in this context "no faith-based or non-faith based," then they are in essence denying they promote the traditional values that they have been attacked for, substituting that for being politically correct. support.

"When they came for the conservative Christian organizations, I said nothing because I only focused on hunger, homelessness and education" (which President Pete approved of).

It sounds more like Chick-fil-A has become rather homophobic, acting out of fear of homosexual activists who demand that all affirm their agenda, maligning and working to punish all who will not effectively salute the flag of Sodom.

The Christian Post ((Chick-fil-A denies capitulating to LGBT activists; Christian groups won’t be excluded from donations ) reports,

According to an exclusive from BisNow Monday, Chick-fil-A was shifting away from its current philanthropic structure to refocus their giving on other causes, specifically education, homelessness and hunger, and would no longer be donating to groups like the Salvation Army, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Paul Anderson Youth Home.

Reports emerged Monday that after months of consistently negative press coverage related to their long-held views about marriage and human sexuality and donations to like-minded organizations, that the famous chicken sandwich shop was discontinuing their financial contributions to groups characterized as “anti-LGBT.”There’s no question we know that, as we go into new markets, we need to be clear about who we are,” Chick-fil-A President and Chief Operating Officer Tim Tassopoulos told the outlet.

“There are lots of articles and newscasts about Chick-fil-A, and we thought we needed to be clear about our message.”He continued: “When there is a tension, we want to make sure we’re being clear. We think this is going to be helpful.”“It’s just the right thing to do: to be clear, caring, and supportive and do it in the community.”

The Christian Post reached out to Chick-fil-A Monday, asking them to respond to the criticisms that they were compromising their principles in order to appease their ideological opponents.

“Beginning in 2020 the Chick-fil-A Foundation will introduce a more focused giving approach, donating to a smaller number of organizations working exclusively in the areas of hunger, homelessness and education. We have also proactively disclosed our 2018 tax filing and a preview of 2019 gifts to date on chick-fil-afoundation.org.

The intent of charitable giving from the Chick-fil-A Foundation is to nourish the potential in every child,” a Chick fil-A representative said in a statement emailed to CP Monday.

“Our goal is to donate to the most effective organizations in the areas of education, homelessness and hunger. No organization will be excluded from future consideration – faith-based or non-faith based,” the spokesperson said, noting “I also wanted to add that Chick-fil-A will not be opening on Sundays.” - The Christian Post U.S. | Monday, November 18, 2019

And which should be be seen in the larger context,

The Chick-fil-A same-sex marriage controversy is focused on the American fast food restaurant Chick-fil-A following a series of public comments made in June 2012 by chief operating officer Dan T. Cathy opposing same-sex marriage.

This followed reports that Chick-fil-A's charitable endeavor, the S. Truett Cathy-operated WinShape Foundation, had donated millions of dollars to political organizations seen by LGBT activists as hostile to LGBT rights. Activists called for protests and boycotts, while supporters of the restaurant chain and opponents of same-sex marriage ate there in support of the restaurant. National political figures both for and against the actions spoke out and some business partners severed ties with the chain.

The outcome of the controversy was mixed, as Chick-fil-A's sales rose 12 percent, to $4.6 billion, in the period immediately following the controversy; this was largely attributed to Chick-fil-A supporter and former Governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee's counter-boycott launched in support of the restaurant...

Chick-fil-A released a statement in July 2012 stating, "Going forward, our intent is to leave the policy debate over same-sex marriage to the government and political arena."[1] In March 2014, tax filings for 2012 showed the group stopped funding all but one organization which had been previously criticized, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.[2][3][4] However, in 2017, tax filings show that the number of groups supported by Chick-fil-A expanded to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Paul Anderson Youth Home, and the Salvation Army.[5]

The WinShape Foundation, a charitable endeavor of Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy and his family, stated that it would not allow same-sex couples to participate in its marriage retreats.[10] Chick-fil-A gave over $8 million to the WinShape Foundation in 2010.[11] Equality Matters, an LGBT watchdog group, published reports of donations by WinShape to organizations that the watchdog group considers anti-gay, including $2 million in 2009, $1.9 million in 2010 and a total of $5 million since 2003, including grants to the Family Research Council and Georgia Family Council. WinShape contributed grants to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Exodus International, an organization noted for supporting ex-gay conversion therapy.[12]

The Marriage and Family Foundation received $994,199 in 2009[13] and $1,188,380 in 2010. The Family Research Council, an organization listed as an anti-gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center in Winter 2010,[14] received $1000.[15]

Tax filings for 2012 showed that Chick-fil-A created a new foundation, the Chick-fil-A Foundation, to provide grants to outside groups. It funded only one previously funded group, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Other filings for WinShape Foundation showed no funding for groups opposed to LGBT causes.[2]

On June 16, 2012, while on the syndicated radio talk show, The Ken Coleman Show, Chick-fil-A president and chief operating officer (COO) Dan Cathy stated:

I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, "We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage". I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about....

Cathy continued:

"We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that. ... We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that," Cathy emphasized. "We intend to stay the course," he said. "We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."[19]

The day after the Supreme Court of the United States struck down Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act, Cathy tweeted, "Sad day for our nation; founding fathers would be ashamed of our gen. to abandon wisdom of the ages re: cornerstone of strong societies."

In March 2014, new tax filings from 2012 showed that the company had stopped funding all but one organization which had been previously criticized by LGBT activists and supporters but, that group received just $25,390.[30] The company created a new foundation, the Chick-fil-A Foundation, to fund outside groups. WinShape Foundation's 2012 tax filings showed funding only for its own programs, a Berry College scholarship fund, and Lars WinShape, a home for needy children in Brazil.[2]

@Franklin_Graham
There’s been a lot of concern & criticism regarding
@ChickfilA
’s charitable giving—& maybe rightly so. For Christian schools, businesses, & organizations, there’s always a danger of drifting to the left.

Dang, that’s what I should have picked up to dinner tonight. LOL I don’t know why some people knock KFC, it beats Church’s and Popeye’s any day of the week. Nothing like the smell of a bucket of Extra Crispy when you’re driving home with it. I have to give Church’s their props for the honey butter biscuits, though. I’ve been known to hit KFC, then pull into Church’s on the way home and order a half dozen. LOL Hey, I live in Alabama. Those are just the big franchise joints. We got Mom-N-Pop fried chicken stands all over the place down here. You like fried chicken? We got fried chicken.

Thank you for sharing this. Was this statement made after his initial statement of support? I hope Franklin Graham comes out more clearly with another statement.

There might be a Church’s or Popeye’s but if there are they are in neighborhoods where you need to wear Kevlar to go get some :)
