Booker unveils $100B plan to invest in historically black colleges

Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) on Tuesday unveiled a $100 billion plan to invest in historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and other minority-serving institutions, marking the largest amount a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate has pledged toward the funding effort.

His proposal calls for more collaboration between HBCUs and federal agencies and would commit an additional $30 billion for Education Department grants.

Booker's plan wold involve the schools in combating climate change by requiring that 10 percent of proposed "Climate Moonshot Hubs," which in total cost $400 billion, be located on HBCU campuses.

His proposal also would commit another $30 billion to upgrading infrastructure on campuses.

“I am here today because of the power of these institutions to uplift and bring about opportunity to Black Americans," Booker, whose parents both attended HBCUs, said in a statement. "As president, I will redouble our efforts to support and invest in HBCUs across the country — my mother and father wouldn’t have it any other way.”

I think black people aren’t falling for this anymore.

They’re moving to over to Trump, because they know they can trust him.

Yep, it’s always a $X billion plan to invest in Solar energy, inner city education, health care, fighting drug addiction, climate change, cash for clunkers, etc.

Did anybody ever ask how the results of these “investments” turn out?

What, no room to stuff some gun control into this intersectional hail mary pass?

That $100 billion could do a lot to improve the infrastructure.

Hey, why not? Climate science is junk science anyway. Does not matter where it gets done.

Most HBCUs need to close. What a waste of money to have two parallel systems of public universities.

Excellent question. It always seems to end up in the pockets of places like the SPLC, NGO. In other words, in the pockets of do-gooder libs and Soros. Which....is kind of the point and explains a LOT. The Military-Industrial complex has nothing on these people.

This is a good thing for three reasons:

1. It's a drop in the bucket compared to Warren's $52 trillion for her Medicare-For-All plan.

2. Spartacus has zero chance of becoming president, so the $100 billion is moot.

3. Which means we won't have to waste these taxpayer dollars on the climate change hoax.

Booker is not just desperate to remain relevant by grasping at straws. He's grasping at all the bales of hay in my barn.

34% of blacks are polling for Trump now. They don't believe the democRATS pandering schemes anymore.

democRATS have promised this and that in every election cycle for decades. President Trump, on the other hand, has delivered real results for blacks in his first term already.

Don't you wonder how much Sen. Booker is willing to invest personally?

It is illegal for the Federal government to spend $100 billion for segregated schools.

Promising money in exchange for votes. Isn't this bribery?

Here is the dictionary definition.

bribe noun

a gift offered to persuade a person to do something, usually dishonest.

bribery

verb: to give (someone) a bribe

Source: TheFreeDictionary.com.

Of course, the Dems have broadened the definition to include other things, but this is still bribery.
