so we had a 14 hr flight with nothing to do....Did you for get how to sleep? I have a good book to help you remember, Dreams From My Father, or some crap.

Well, not exactly.. But I did go to Hawaii on the USNS Patrick in 1965.. We did stop at Pearl for a couple days, but I didn't have enough money to get off the ship.. That was a real bummer.. Someone said that the price of beer downtown was five dollars a bottle.! At those rates I couldn't afford a six pack..
I was assigned as the latrine orderly in the bow, and I can tell you right now, that trip really suck..!!! It got pretty rough when we left Gaum and all the GI’s that came forward to use the facilities would get sick as dogs... What a mess..!!

Eating peanuts on a long flight is lots of flatulence. They don’t serve peanuts on planes anymore - allergy thing with possible law suits.

No more peanuts - since one person complained they switched to pretzels.

My husband is a Delta pilot, so that’s the airline we choose. However, when my daughter and I flew from San Francisco to Honolulu earlier this year, we booked on Hawaiian Airlines and it was delightful. We were in the main cabin but had plenty of room and the whole experience reflects the island hospitality.

You can pay an extra 25 bucks each way and get you 24 hour check-in done automatically which will get you a higher boarding group.
I have flown them about a thousand times so you can say I like them.
If youi can upgrade to business select you will board an select your seat in the first 15 ticket holders.
A long flight deserves sitting in the rows 2 through 6 —never in the first row but the noise is less forward of the engines.

It’s like flying in a bus with gay guys giving you tiny bags of peanuts.. Accurate - except SWA doesn't hand out peanuts anymore since a couple of people complained. It's pretzels now.

I have flown southwest many times and they were always decent. :)
