Moderator pulled my post about being in Facebook jail for commenting about the poisonous products China sends us. I posted in general/CHAT and nowhere else. Reason for pulling: “I stubbed my toe.” Do we now have Chinese trolls with moderator permissions? As bad as Facebook.

I’ve always said that ONLY dues paying Freepers should be allowed the privilege of posting threads.

Anyone can reply; but only those who contribute should be allowed to post a thread.

1. This would greatly reduce the dozens of worthless threads posted each day.

2. It would fund Freepathons in a week.

I started out reading FR maybe 1999 or so strictly for the news content.

A couple or so years ago I started being a monthly contributor.

Also two or three years ago the vanities have been multiplying like rats. IMO only a small quantity of vanities are news worthy, the rest are dumb questions that are of a Facebook value or whining about this or that.

Actual news content is still my main reason for being here, not vanities. I do not like the idea of paying for their posting.

IMHO, you're trying to fix a problem that does not exist. Is there an issue with a glut of threads that serve no purpose? I don't think so. I think the mods do a good job of keeping the nonsense to a minimum. If this site was full of crap, I would 100% support your position. I would go further and say that the more you give the more you can post. But again, I don't think it's an issue.
