I dodged a bullet in 2008 when I almost moved there for work.
The typical family of four uses approximately 12,000 gallons, or 16 CCF, of water per month.
So unless I cut my water usage by almost 90% i will be fined 30,000 per month.
These people are actually insane.
Incoming Recall
I assume CA prohibits rainwater collection for personal use, right?
Soon everyone will be sh*tting on the sidewalks to minimize toilet use.
Exemptions: 1) Anyone within the walls of a gated mansion will be exempt.
2)Anyone who has given service to our country,to the Founders and the Constitution by working toward impeachment of Trump or his trial will be exempt.
Like the special Members of Congress, Senators and their families exempt from Obamacare and get guaranteed Cadillac health plan for life.
Just looked at my water bill. Last month was about as low a usage as any in the previous 12, and we used over 40 gallons / person-day. Definitely some months where we went over the 55.
Insanity.
Precious...MSM minions suddenly upset that a new reg will affect THEM with stiff penalties, limit THEIR liberty, stop THEIR nice, long showers. The gal with long blonde hair was pretty annoyed. LOL!
Theyre not red-pilled much yet. If they were, theyd be visibly angry and calling for a stop to it. Theyre at least beginning to personally feel the result of their stupid voting habits.
If this serious?! 55 gallons per person per day??!! That’s barely 2 CCFs per person per month. Even with next to zero landscaping, there would have been no way for my wife and I have that low of water usage in a month.
How would you ever fill a pool or a hot tub?
I guess those are out, as of now.
California gonna stink more than they already do.
Not exactly what it sounds like. The 55 gal limit is for INDOOR use with NO way to enforce it.

We have had heavy rains for the past 6 weeks or so. The Dams are full the hillsides and lawns are green.
So what are we conserving for?
Perhaps its because they plan on bringing in another 50 million or so people while the natives flee the state.
Libs are animals.
Well, if you’ve got a family of 4 it’s just really important to be the first one n the tub.
Private citizens will now have to crap on the curb in front of their homes or become homeless because they can’t afford the fines.
I believe this law applies only to water agencies and not individuals. It mandates water agencies to incorporate this 55-gallon goal in their water conservation guidelines. People are NOT going to be fined $1,000 a day if their household exceeds that number.
Calm down, everyone. California is a disaster, but not THAT insane. At least not yet.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville residents began paying more for water on Jan. 1, 2020. The Board of Water Works approved Louisville Water Company's budget with new water rates.
The average cost for a household using 4,000 gallons of water a month will go up 85 cents to about $24.
Louisville Water Company officials say that's a good deal compared to nearby cities.
Residents can fill up 75 eight-ounce glasses of Louisville water for just a penny.
When Louisville Water Company started in 1860, there were tariffs rather than rates.
Customers paid based on the number of rooms in a home, the kind of livestock they had and whether or not they wanted to wash a horse drawn carriage.
