I have family and friends in California who have complained for years, but never actually did anything, but vote. People needed to be attending various meetings, petitioning their reps. Petitioning signatures on new bills Getting new bills signed into law, etc..

There is no electoral college in the state of Virginia. All of your most populous counties are all near Washington D.C., and they are dark blue...this gives them more representatives and control of your government. This is why the Democrats want to get rid of the EC federally.
