“I cannot deal with almonds, they make my stomach hurt. I like pecans and I use rice milk.”

There is no such thing as “Rice Milk”, no matter what false advertisements a food manufacturer makes.

You cannot “milk” a grain of rice or even a rice plant.

No matter what drink is made from rice or what color it is given it is not MILK. If anything it is “Rice Water” - rice squeezed into a powder and mixed with water.

Almonds also: it takes approximately 15 gallons of water to produce just 16 almonds, making almonds one of the most water-intensive crops

Bees have a lot of challenges, and humans have piled on, but there are sensible ways to deal with these things.

You would think CA of all places would pass laws about importing bees from all over...Money talks, who knew! The almond business with its monoculture is indeed risking unnecessary damage to bees.

CA is home to more than a thousand species of bees, not saying most are in any way useful like honey bees, but it’s a varied environment with plenty of natural “laboratories” where we might cultivate local honey bee breeds in a relatively short period of time. Local bees could specialize in almonds in their season, while still free to nourish themselves with other crops.

Focusing the bees on a single crop is like restricting you or me to a single-food diet. Not a smart idea; particularly when a creature has a very short life expectancy and the nutrition (or lack of) impacts the next generation.

As to mites, we can help our little buddies fight them, with selective breeding for hygienic behavior. There are beekeepers who take measures to keep bees healthy, and then there are those who don’t try to understand ‘em, just ride ‘em in, head ‘em up, move ‘em on.

Things like this show just how assinine the Vegans are in claiming that eating meat is bad for the environment. Vegans are much much worse for the environment.

"They only call it “Almond Milk” because if they called it “Nut Juice” nobody would buy it."

This guy would be all over it.

“ I can’t eat almonds. They make me horribly sick.”

Sorry for you with that. I much prefer milk from cows but I was recently diagnosed with food allergies. Now it’s almond and coconut “milk” for me.

Bee shortage is a hoax from lying environmentalists.

Normally I'd believe this except that I don't see bees anywhere anymore. I used to see them all over the place when I was growing up.

Where did they go?

Yes, rice milk is the water from cooking rice, does this upset you for some reason? It’s a lot healthier than dairy and does not upset your stomach like nut milk. Oh, now will you be angry because a nut can’t be milked either? LOL

Debate about the potential health effects of A1 and A2 milk is ongoing.

Research suggests that A1 beta-casein causes adverse digestive symptoms in certain individuals.

But the evidence is still too weak for any solid conclusions to be made about the supposed links between A1 beta-casein and other conditions, such as type 1 diabetes and autism.

That said, A2 milk could be worth a try if you struggle to digest regular milk.

just as almond or other nut milk is just cooked nuts in water and remove the nuts - leaving you with nut water - overpriced and sold as nut milk.

How things change. A number of years ago i read about how almond honey tastes bad to humans, so the bees get to keep that honey. It was stated like this was the payoff for the bees who lose all the honey they create with other flowers to human consumption. Now almond pollinating is bad for the bees.

No bees were interviewed for either story.

“I cannot deal with almonds”

Me, too! I love almonds, but they make me feel like there are a thousand knives dancing in my stomach. I can deal with a few Jordan Almonds, though. :)
