One of the first adult books I read was "The Stand" back in the late 1970s. Creeped the hell out of me.

Yes, so far....and remember the recent Ebola scare? Everyone was predicting dead people by the metric ton. Some of us called for caution. Alas, those initial handful of cases blossomed into the worst pandemic America had ever seen.
