Interesting, hadn’t thought about that. With the widespread use of pot and other drugs in the past 40 to 50 years, that might be an explanation for some of the cases, maybe many.

I have a grandson with high functioning autism....he’s not a bad kid but its pretty difficult to have a “family” when one of the family won’t participate....
Yes, and she's going to pay for it. She's going to spend the rest of her life in prison. But that's not enough for some Freepers. They want strangers on the internet hissing hatred at her (that she won't even know about.) The fact that a few of us have said, "I feel bad for her," doesn't change her prison sentence. It's just compassion for someone who was overwhelmed and depressed and could see no way out. In fact, the more people preen about how bad she is (and how GOOD they are in comparison) the more I sympathize with her.

I think usually the special needs schools deal a lot with the mentally-handicapped children. But I guess those schools accept other kids also.
I’m sure through generations over the centuries there were occasional cases of children afflicted in this way. Again, the reference to Jesus delivering the child is one case even in His time on earth.
But the incredibly large number of cases nowadays is just way too exceptional. I don’t think any generation since the beginning of time has seen so many children with such severe issues. As I said, it might be related to an increase of demonic activity which the Bible speaks of. It was definitely a demon that afflicted the child whom Jesus healed and delivered.

Kerri Rivera knows how to rescue these children and get them off of the autistic spectrum. It is a multi-layered approach to basically heal their gut and detox their brains. Progress is measured with ATEC scores. Success is defined as an ATEC from 0-10. It can take years, or months. The older they get the harder it is to reverse damage.
England also has introduced some programs that seem to be working. I keep up the hope.

Well, no matter what you say, I feel sorry for this woman, and so do quite a few others on this thread. You have no control over how we feel, and you’ll just have to learn how to live with it.
The government needs to help us with people like that. It is too much for a normal person to cope with. I feel sorry for the grandmother.

I don’t feel sorry for her. She had no right to do what she did. Kill herself.. but not the kids.
There is very little help available, and I have tried for 7 years to get some but that does not excuse her action. Still doesn’t excuse her actions but it does mitigate it.
