I actually used to like watching Chris Matthews Harball back in the day as he did seem to have a clear mind on the politics of politics, but somewhere along the way he became an outright shill (seems like a lot of things went crazy around the time Obama’s terms where going on). Or maybe I just didn’t see it before then.

I understand how you feel - Chris Matthews used to care about traditional Americans - people who worked for a living. Then he changed - became more interested in all the weird politically correct stuff... and antifa thugs.

No. You’re right. A lot of people I used to see as logical, sensible and patriotic suddenly seemed to fall under a hypnotic spell when it came to Obama.
It was like one of those old movies where your best friends all begin turning into Zombies and chanting the same vapid slogans.
“Oh, no! Not you too??! Come on, Man, what are you saying?. Snap out of it!”
In todays’s world, this is happening again when it comes to
Trans-Matters.

No, the msm, the gopE and the dems have been in absolute panic mode since Trump became a viable candidate for POTUS. The corruption of the US government has it's tentacles firmly entrenched in every branch of government and all available media. The fact that Trump has survived this long is only adding more urgency to that panic. A second term Trump POTUS would be even more damaging. Trump must be supper human to weather what has been thrown at him. I for one am very grateful for what Trump has withstood and accomplished. He is an American giant, been awhile since we had one of those.

I actually used to like watching Chris Matthews Harball back in the day I don't think I am imagining this but I recall Chris used to occasionally sub for Rush.

Matthews earned his bones as a suck-nuts for the old House Speaker Tip ONeill back in the 80s. He may have masked his bigotry for awhile in order to build some credibility, but he has been a die hard rat asshole his whole adult life. Make no mistake. He also is reported to have a big booze problem, which periodically messes him up.

I remember when Chris Matthews used to be more reasonable too. At one point he referred to Al Gore as the bathtub ring in the Clinton administration.
I think it was after 2000 that he started to go off the rails and the ascendancy of Fox News Channel grabbing ratings with O’Reilly and Hannity and Colmes in competing spots seemed to force him to shift left.
