Agreed. I am 100% serious, not just ranting - modern day “liberals” are suffering from delusions. There is no other way they can support the leftist/liberal agenda, the rampant hypocrisy, the blinders-on intentional ignorance of reality. They are delusional, a very real mental illness.

I call these types of people “fantasy prone”. Normal life & views are just not good enough - too mundane! They are drawn to every “good story” they hear and wonder why it can’t be so. The want it to be “so” so bad they give it a “reality”. When this “reality” clashes with actual reality, its cognitive dissonance for them & anger. They project so that This disconnect between their “reality” and reality is clearly some ones fault! So they lash out at all who don’t share their mental “utopia”.
While in the current political climate I’m inclined to agree, on general principle I think we ALWAYS need to be very wary of irrevocably tying mass mental illness to only one side of the political spectrum. When we do this, we fail to call out the loons on the other side.
