Sounds like a fun project! If you can post any pictures from the ‘Vintage Wedding’ in the future, please do! :)

Here's my beautiful Amanda modeling her 'Amanda Infinity Scarf.' She was my son's girlfriend all through high school, but, unfortunately they broke up. Since I had no girls of my own, I 'adopted' her and she's been 'mine' ever since. She recently moved to CA for a job (!) but I have a feeling she'll be back to the Midwest in the future.

I like the green/beige ombre’d granny square one on the window bench.
The multi square ‘rug’ is kind of cool too.
This needs to be over soon. Hubby needs to work and I need my grain grinder/huller I ordered. I may need a box of wine in the fridge but I’m afraid the hoarders got to them before I can.

has anyone done any tatting?
I found a book with tatted jewelry that’s nifty.
I’m very nearsighted so doing really detailed stuff in miniature doesn’t bother me. But is it really fiddly and time consuming?

SO FUNNY!! Someone has a passion for yarn, I believe.

I kind of like those hanging lampshades. I can see doing something more inventive than granny squares.

OH MY GOSH!!!! Where did you say you lived again??? We should be neighbors...the girls would love you and you would fit right in...
Our homes look like this, as soon as I am not ‘under house arrest’ I am going to get material and make a ‘rag bedspread’ for my bed...right now I have a granny square one on there...
WOW...can you imagine what we could do if we all lived close to one another, and the stories we could tell...

Can you tell I'm avoiding my chores, today? Crocheted feathers!
Looking for the pattern - it was in Spanish.

I liked the lamp shades, too! I could see doing something with those oriental round shades...

Wow - LOL! Spring has sprung here - 81 degrees & sunshine today so all fiber arts are on ‘hold’ and outdoor projects are what’s happening. If we get a nice, rainy day, maybe I’ll be able to do some crochet (got a birthday present coming up in April).

In the ‘70s I made a few afghans made up of squares in the afghan stitch. They come out with square stitches, and I’d do counted cross-stitch over the squares with different designs. They were cute.

“has anyone done any tatting?”
I’ve never done it, buy my sister and I have Grandma’s shuttles, and quite a bit of linen things she made — handkerchiefs, runners, etc. - with tatted edges.

Another project I’m trying to work on is to figure out a way to hide not-pretty books in an open bookcase in my music room. The hymnals look fine as they are, but some shelves have three-ring notebooks, and loose sheet music. It’s driving my OCD husband crazy.
I have taken some art, put them on easels, and then in front of the books. It’s OK, but not perfect.
To cover the stuff on one shelf I might piece a long narrow horizontal mini quilt with nicknames of Obama and Hillary in Morse Code. It’ll look like modern art and only I’ll know what it means. Could be fun.
Any ideas of how to hide ugly stuff on bookshelves would be appreciated! :)

Can you incorporate some pretty baskets on the shelves and stash the things you want to keep, but not see, in those? I keep my yarn in baskets among books on shelving in my office/craft room. (This is NOT my house, LOL!)

Thanks! I have seen that pic online, I think. I am considering those kinds of baskets, but they’re a little more casual than what I want — although I may end up with them. Most baskets are a little small for the binders, but I’m sure there are some available somewhere.
Thanks again! I may have visit Amazon this afternoon and get “series” about this. Have been procrastinating too long.
